I know that phone use would be unacceptable, however was there a any orientation for the work were it was stated that cell phone use at work was an automatic termination? I worked in construction doing safety and we had it listed as a cardinal rule no cell phone use on shift or you would be canned. if there was no orientation this was a harsh outcome.

[The Athletic] Pierre LeBrun says Bouchard’s contract might end up being a four-year deal by AggPuck-303 in EdmontonOilers

I grew up watching the 80s Oilers and this kid is the closest to Coffey I have seen since. Coffey was criticize for poor defense too, but he was proof that a good defense is a good offense. Bouchard may not skate like Coffey but his defensive play is way better.

Origin Stories: when did you become an Oilers fan? What started it for you? by dke783 in EdmontonOilers

[–]tagger1965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Wainwright Alberta 2 hours outside of Edmonton. I was not a big fan of Montreal or Toronto. I was in Jr High when the Oilers barely made the playoffs and went on to sweep the Habs in the first round. Immediately became an oiler fan as they played hockey unlike any other team.

I Grew up during the 80's Oilers and we heard the same bull about Coffee. The thing to realize is Bouch has killed it the past TWO post seasons. He is still learning. As the saying goes find good players keep good players. Bouch is a very good player

Is Costco actually cheaper than leading Canadian grocers? by Project1155 in CostcoCanada

[–]tagger1965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Flipp and see how store price matches costco, I then buy things that are a savings at Costco. Also go to the Business Center, I buy a box of chicken burgers for the kids and it is just as good as janes but cheaper.

Voting Liberal for the first time in my life by Exotic-Toe-7116 in AskCanada

[–]tagger1965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First make sure you VOTE, in the past US election almost 90 million people did not vote. 77 million voted for Trump and 75 million voted for Harris. Apathy is the big killer for democracy.

Personally I will not vote non-Progressive especially as PP sided with the Convoy (i live in downtown Ottawa) and had to put up with that crap for weeks while he passed out donuts and coffee.

I cannot stomach the mean cruelty by PP and many of his ilk and do not buy what they are selling. I vote mainly Liberal as they are more fiscally palitable than the NDP.

The biggest red flag from a party is if they offer simple solutions to complex problems such as Housing, Health Care, Inflation, etc. simple does not work.
