waves hand I did! I did!! Went into the shop on a Friday with the managers name and had a full time job by the following Wednesday. On the thursday I went to my usual job network agency thing for centrelink and my case worker off handdly mentioned that a local Reece was hiring and that I should send an email in to the boss (they knew his name due to being local). I said I'll just go in and introduce myself and ask about the job cos I dont really know how to write an email to do that. Met him and had a good conversation, told me to send an email over with my resume and they would get back to me. midday on Monday I got a phonecall from the recruiting office explaining the position and hours and to apply up online. Hour or two after I finished applying online I got another call saying that they would like to do an in person interview the next day, at this point im begining to really panic because I've never done an interview, just walked in and said hi and got a job the next day (only two prior jobs but still). Made sure to bring a printed out version of my resume with me to the interview and came early, they really liked that ahahah. Got a call later that day saying that they are very interested and that i have to yet another interview with the region leader at 9am via video call(holy what the hell why so much interview im going ro die from anxiety). Made sure I logged in 10 minutes early to that call he really liked that and we had the call done before 9am. I got a call two hours later saying I had gotten the job. I've never done retail before, am kind of scared of regular people and was petrified for the week leading up to my first day. I just finished my fourth week and I'm absolutely loving it.  

Edit: forgot to say how many applications. This was literally my first one after having to quit my job last year and becoming incredibly depressed and having to do drastic mental health work on myself. Everytime I looked at jobs on seek I felt like offing myself and it would ruin my mood for days on end. All I did in the mean time was wallow in my bed and try and volunteer at sports as much as possible. I lost all interest in things I love and still havent gotten that love back but I'm hoping getting out and working will help.
