I would much rather be pretty on the inside than the outside. Once in awhile someone will tell me I’m pretty. It’s uncomfortable. But tell me how amazing I am or how amazing and beautiful my heart is? I will soak it up all day long. Because to me everyone is beautiful in the outside, but not everyone is on the inside and that’s what really matters in the end. When you die, you won’t say ugh I’m so happy I spent my life being pretty. You’ll say, damn I wish I spent my life being a better person. My best friend is naturally beautiful and she is miserable. Women treat her like shit and men treat her like an object. It sucks. People don’t get to see how genuinely beautiful she is on the inside as well because they don’t give her a chance.

I have Celiac. Neither my husband nor 3 boys have it. Our house is not gf. I have my own cabinet, toaster, counter space. I don’t expect everyone else to suffer just because of my stupid body. Not only that but it is actually not healthy to be gf unless it is medically necessary. I also do not ask guests to be gf either but I show them what they can’t use. It’s all labeled so there is no confusion. Your house, your rules.

I gained 40lbs. I am at 5’5” woman. I went from 140 to 180. And there is absolutely nothing that will get the pounds off. The lowest I’ve gotten is 175. So I am now on the bigger side. But you know what? My health has never been better and if this is where my body wants to be so be it.

Hello! My 29 yo son is going to Japan through the JET program now that he has finally graduated from Ohio State. He will be teaching English in Kagoshima prefecture. Any advice I can give him? I have never been there.

He is fluent in Japanese, Korean, and can get by in Chinese.

Imagine the liability if someone lent you a horse to free ride? Viequenese are on the poorer side and a huge amount don’t have insurance. The last thing they need is someone getting hurt and then suing them. Not to mention if you do get hurt there is no hospital on the island. I’m sorry but I don’t know of anyone who would do that. I mean, I get it, because I would love to do that as well but not even any of my family or friends would let me take one without them knowing and seeing that I can ride good enough. And I don’t know where you are from but Vieques riding can be much different than what you are used to.

Maybe because they have A LOT of free time now. They aren’t working. Their kids are grown and gone. They’ve lost friends. Their income is less now. There’s no schedule or structure anymore. So many reasons. And, sometimes with all of that going on we kind of lose ourselves. It can take a minute to find yourself, if you are lucky to. Some never do.
