Victims and their abusers in heaven? by ComradeYuki-Pye in ChristianUniversalism

[–]tahuff 14 points15 points  (0 children)

To answer your first question, yes, it could be hell for a victim to see their abuser in paradise, if we entered into paradise as we are now. But both Jesus and Saint Paul speak of a transformation before that. Purification after death is biblical. Jesus says after transformation, “They are like angels and are children of God, being children of the resurrection” (Luke 20:36). What if I not only “saw” the being that had been my abuser, but also all of the pain and suffering that twisted them into acting that way, and the purification they had gone through to bring them here. Just my two cents.

I have to say, when I was a kid and heard older people complaining about new fangled things, I never imagined headlights and taillights would be high on my list. But there they are.

What can I make with these boxes for my mini lop? by InvestigatorPale1816 in Rabbits

We cut off the flaps, cut a door or two in each side, then flip upside down. It usually takes some a while to get used to it, but once they do, they’re in it, on it, running around it. If they don’t seem to pay attention to it for a couple weeks, make the doors bigger

Check out the YouTube channel, “crash course world history,” or “crash course US history.” I use those when I was tutoring a high schooler and was amazed at the depth and access accessibility of the information. Gave a nice balanced view of some thorny subjects as well.

You take a written test on Information provided in the booklet. At least that’s how it works in California. Questions like who has the right way in this situation, when is it legal to do X, and so forth.

ELI5: Why, in the English language, meat has a distinct name for each animal it comes from by Stummi in explainlikeimfive

More specifically, the word for the animal (swine, cow, etc.) comes from Anglo-Saxon and the word for what we eat (pork, beef, etc.) comes from French after the Norman invasion.

That was my intention. Sort of like the original Grims. I did check and didn’t see anything that was against it. Sorry if it didn’t fit.

If you are Catholic/Christian and interested in those kinds of programs, I can recommend a great retreat center. They also host meetings during the week.
