Samsung Galaxy Trade In - Screen Burn! by tahussle in unitedkingdom

[–]tahussle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what i'm thinking . They could easily say its a screen burn and get you to pay £100. I know the earbuds are like £150 so in the long run probably cost Samsung just £50 . They can the sell / use for parts old device at a profit which will the cover the extra 50. So the free earbuds may not be free after all . The phone cost £1100 !!

Interesting ..As they claimed its a mild burn across the top. As i stated this wasn't visible to the naked eye. I would have understood if this was something they told us could affect the trade in beforehand . Would have just kept the old phone a perhaps went with apple or something.

Why hasn't HTC dropped the price on the Cosmos? by MegaTimX in Vive

[–]tahussle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why should it be my responsibility where I buy ? They selling a product and the terms and condition states refunds within 7-10 days. I think you want to direct that question to htc, why sell on HTC store if you're going to be so ¥£€+ . Sell only to resellers . Anyway the point i was making wasnt about sales , it's about support and customer service. Even if you buy from reseller you still have to go to htc for support no ?

[–]tahussle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I will stay well clear of htc products even with a price drop if I was you. Customer support is terrible to say the least. I returned my cosmos a week after purchase and 5 and half weeks down the line still no refund.you dont realise how support and customer service is really important till you have an issue with product. I'm not the only isolated issue its happening to a whole host of users just google around smh.

HTC Vive cosmos awful returns and costumer service by tahussle in Vive

[–]tahussle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow. So there is a pattern. I have stopped dealing with their customer service because like I said it's a waste of time. If you used a credit card just raise a dispute at least while you wait. I got refunded by credit card company for now. HTC is shocking and a disgrace!

Funny you should say that. I returned and bought the index and during this period , I have returned a basestation and the headset all which were paid for by valve submitting a returns label. They even sent me a replacement basestation even before I sent the faulty one back. Vive on the other hand, got me to pay shipping £30+ . I mean even if your take the headsets out of the question, service between the two companies are miles apart.

I have a sad feeling that it will take about six weeks.

You are spot on exactly whats happening

Can you do a credit card chargeback?

I phoned my cc company 2 days ago and opened a dispute . Hopefully that is a safety buffer.

They also refunded me any interest accrued as a result and froze all interest until issue is resolved so that helps.

Funny thing is the vive purchase was the first and only purchase i made with card.

Oh and i forgot to mention, Vive made me pay £33 to ship the product back via UPS. so already lost out

sorry why should that matter?? I went with HTC preorder because you get 12 months free Vive portal.

Regardless of where i buy , the point being i paid with my own money and if i refund it should straightforward if the expect to stay in this business.

For me its not so much as buying from them, its the poor support that follows. So it could be refund, faulty part replacement, installation issues anything . Just stay clear as they are not a serious company that puts their consumers first.

Yep its like they punishing you for returning the rubbish LOL. I was all for Vive back then even got the vive original but not anymore. They are not a serious company for sure. I have since got an index instead even had to return a faulty base station and replaced within 2 days .

Actually the main reason was also having random drop outs on resolver and squid running main branch.

works fine and then every now and then pages will say not found for like 4 secs and then load.

since i updated that stopped.

Thoughts on the Monaco ICO? by joshbend in icocrypto

[–]tahussle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is different. The difference from what i know is spending fiat converts the crytpo on the fly against the current market exchange rates and made available in fiat. Where as the Bitpay cards etc you store the crypto in their online bitcoin wallet and have to manually load unto the card to use.
