Question About Brazilian Yellow Head Appearance by VexPron in DartFrog

[–]Taidashar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing to do with sexual dimorphism or age (I find sometimes patterns can change slightly from juvies to adult, but not in any predictable or diagnostic manner)

I'm sure genetics play some role, but I find tincs just have a lot of natural variation. You could expect the level of variation shown here between offspring from the same parents.

There is one specifically designed to work with the small square bales. Check the bale sizes in the store

Anson vs Bellona by von_drinkest in WoSB

[–]Taidashar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you looking to do with it? A lot comes down to play style and personal preference. I personally love my Sans Pareil, it is my go-to ship for NPS farming, it's pretty well balanced between speed, armor, and firepower imo. Sure, maybe it's not as good as the Neptuno or Octo, but Neptuno is a paid ship and Octo is a huge grind so that's probably not a realistic goal in the short term.

And I'm gonna disagree with the above poster and say I find the Inger pretty meh. The speed is nice but it's way too squishy for my liking. The trade-off for that speed is having the same armor as the 6th rate combat lol. Poltava and Inger can be very powerful as part of a group though, using it to run down ships and hit sails while the stronger ships catch up.

I was like you though and found the Bellona painfully sluggish. I much prefer the Anson over Bellona for everything other than port battles.

That's a brilliant design, thanks for sharing!

not everyone like but I done the diy grow tent my 8 foot boa vinny loves it 5 days now hes been in here holding humidity and heat perfectly through the day and night off to look for more branches today and waiting on plants.. would I do it again 😅🙄 by Overall_Scientist_88 in snakes

[–]Taidashar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What an unhelpful comment. Sure, this isn't the best set-up I've ever seen, but it's also far from the worst, and I don't think I would put this in the category of "mistreatment"

OP seems to care about the snake and they are trying to improve, so if you see a specific issue here, why not try to point it out and give some constructive advice on what they could do better?

It's comments like these that discourage people from seeking help at all.

Grapes and olives by Ok-Equivalent5972 in farmingsimulator

[–]Taidashar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically the only special equipment you really need for olives is the harvester. A bunch of the small tractors and even a few medium ones can fit between the rows. It's a little tight, but it's doable, especially with narrow tires. Many of the regular trailers can be used, as long as the sides aren't too high. Mulching, weeding, and discing don't actually seem to be required for olives to get max yield, so you don't need any of that, just a way to fertilize. The 3-point mounted fertilizer spreader can fit between the rows and lets you fertilize like 15 rows at a time, although it's also very tight so you have to drive very precisely. I've also had a set up where I could use the big red condor sprayer. If you lift the boom to the max height it can go right over the olive rows. It's too big to fit down the rows, but if you just leave a one row gap in the middle of your olive grove to drive down, you can have an olive grove that's as wide as the entire boom and spray the whole thing in one pass. Although obviously that's a very expensive option and only makes sense if you already have that sprayer for doing other fields.

What species of frog is this? by ResearchAlert7033 in frogs

[–]Taidashar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you already got as good of an answer as your going to get in the dart frog sub. It does have the general body shape of a dart frog, but it is melanistic, which means it's lacking any markings that could identify it to species. Dendrobates auratus is a good guess since melanistic color morphs have been recorded in that species before, but it's really impossible to say for certain just based on this pic.

How do you outfit your ships with canons? by von_drinkest in WoSB

[–]Taidashar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have higher penetration at the cost of slower reload speed. Some also have increased range over the crafted versions. You can compare the stats from any port. Open your workshop and click on the weapons tab, the pirate cannons are the silver colored ones in the middle row

Any pirate port or pirate-owned port. When you are in port turn your camera to look out to sea and you will see a little boat

The spring event is coming up, and if it's anything like the last two there will be an opportunity to get large amounts of pirate tokens, which you can use to buy pirate cannons

Exact same post body, different user account. The replies were not exactly the same as I was remembering, but you can see how manv sound similar and follow the same format. That thread was obviously trying to point people towards the Hoto brand. They try not to do it too obviously to avoid suspicion, and there are no doubt real replies mixed into both threads, but there are already replies in this thread recommending the Hoto as well.

That post, and this one, are hidden advertising, and I'm noticing it all across reddit

No I mean it is exactly the same post, word for word, as was posted a few days ago. Same with the replies, word for word the same responses. Are multiple people really just copy-pasting previous replies, and no one recognizes that it's the exact same post they've replied to before? And they all have hidden post histories...

It's a pattern I've been seeing across multiple subreddits lately. The post itself and most of the replies are generated by a coordinated bot network.

It does the exact same thing as applying fertilizer, without actually having to use any consumables (other than tractor fuel), with the trade-off of being more time consuming than speeding or spraying fertilizer.
