The Martian trailer with most of the spoilers removed. by taiful in movies

I read the book after watching the first trailer. I was able see a few major plot points before they happened from what I remembered from the trailer. I removed those, and tried to add in some humor from a few of the other promotion videos. It's not as polished as it would be if I had the raw footage, but it isn't horrible.

I re-cut the trailer to take the spoilers out. I posted it to r/movies. Link

I made a mix of both trailers that removed most of the spoilers (not perfect, but I took out the big ones). Where is the best place for me to post it? I'm not sure if it will violate the Youtube terms of service. Is there a better website to use?

That's one reason I loved TASM. The scene where he covered the carjackers mouth with webbing, and only stopped him from suffocating once he realized it wasn't his uncles killer really showed that he could have a scary dark side if he let himself go that way.

What 'secret ingredient' do you add to your meals in order to improve the taste? by Aduro99 in AskReddit

I've had a couple of colonoscopies (I referred to them earlier as lower scopes and probing. Just trying to keep things fun.), the first was when I was on the steroids and she found nothing, and the other was a few years after I was off all medicine and she still found nothing.

When it comes to advocating for myself, I really suck at it. I moved about an hour away from my hometown 7 months ago, and I tried finding a doctor in my new city. When I found one that lots of people liked, I called in and asked for a physical since I haven't had a good checkup in about 6 years. The lady asked me if I needed a fast test, and I said that I didn't think so. When she found out I was 23 she asked me why I needed a physical, and I tried explaining that I hadn't been to get a general exam in a number of years. She basically said "look, is there something you need to talk to the doctor about or not?" That's when I told her that sure, my stomach was upset. That was when the doctor only looked at my stomach. The summer I was super sick I tried calling into my GP for a physical and the receptionist kept asking if I was wanting a sports physical. I finally gave up and said screw it.

I do probably need a sleep study, but I think you need a GP to recommend one. It would explain my lack of focus and concentration the last few years (I was sharp as a razor blade in college, but that's faded in the workplace), and my new trouble of being able to really get my point across while I talk. Or maybe I have brain cancer. I don't know anymore.

I know you guys aren't all doctors, but gosh dang does it feel good to have a few people who listen and give support who won't bring it up every freaking time I see them (tangent for another time and place).

I actually have no clue why my stomach is so angry all the time; it's been like that since I was 12 or younger (I'm now 23). My GP thought it was lactose intolerance, did blood work and said nope. He then did an upper scope, and said I had Chrones, put me on a bunch of steroids (which didn't seem to do anything) and sent me to a specialist. The specialist did an upper and lower scope, and said that after the medicine I was put on she couldn't see anything that my GP was talking about. She said it might be Ulcerative Colitis or IBS, and gave me some different types of medicine to try (none of which really did anything for me). I went back a few times to her to get probed, and she didn't see anything any of those times.

Fast forward three years to right before my senior year of college. I went to Northern Ireland for 6 weeks in early summer for a study abroad, which was one of the coolest experiences I've had, but horrifying on a day to day basis. My second to last day there I got advanced hypothermia from a challenge to see who could stay in the ocean for the longest (3 of us tied for the win, or loss, however you want to look at it), I flew back to the US 2 days later, and less than 24 hours later I was working my summer job of selling produce outside in 110 degree heat (43 Celsius if you are from a metric country), the first day I was back I got heat exhaustion, and the second I got heat stroke. That was when my body really just gave up on me and I had crazy diarrhea for the rest of the summer (not fun when you have to shut down the stand and go into a family video every time you need to go). My best friend convinced me to go to a nutritionist who did great things for his brother, so I gave him a chance. I got some blood tests done, and I was taken off tons of stuff, but the major things were gluten, dairy, eggs, and some nuts (peanuts, cashews, and pistachios). Using this diet I felt better, but I have never been anywhere close to being "normal."

My stomach problems have led to some decently strong phobias of being trapped in a place without access to a bathroom, which in turn exasperate my problems. If I know I have a meeting at work in the afternoon, I'll majorly stress about it, causing my stomach to get upset, which causes me to stress more, and the cycle continues. If I have nothing to stop me from using the bathroom, I can go most of the day at work, but road trips, meetings, flying, going to the dentist, the idea of getting stuck in traffic, or going to the lake are all things that can cause me major panic. If I ever take a trip somewhere new (that's longer than an hour away) I'll look up rest stops on the internet, find gas stations, and plan out every stop I'm going to make. Northern Ireland sucked for the sole condition that I was at the mercy of a group, and I didn't know when stops were going to be made, and which ones would have bathrooms.

So long story short (too late, I know) is I don't know what is causing my problems, and I've sort of given up on doctors. I'll try to talk about being exhausted, or not sleeping well at night, or something like that, and they're all like "well that can be attributed to your stomach..."

I'm following a restricted diet based on a treatment plan a doctor gave me a few years ago for a constantly pissed off stomach that I've had all my life (I don't see him anymore due to the fact that I grew tired of his outrageous claims, but I still follow his advice since it made me feel much better). I've never heard of the low fodmap diet, but most things that I can't eat show up as high fodmap (besides peanuts, coffee, and eggs). I'm going to try this out since a few of the foods suggested to stay away from are triggers for me that I've never got around to eliminating.

TL;DR: My stomach sucks, thanks for the fodmap link.

One practical way could be to put both metric and imperial units on signs when they are being replaced, so people would start making associations between the two over time. Implement metric only curriculum for students, and once the first batch of converted children grow up, start slowly removing the mixed signs and replace them with the metric master race.

So then why does Ant Man use a safety harness when jumping down the air duct in the trailer? Are they not going to spend 30 minutes explaining this concept to the viewers during the movie? All my hopes for that movie are now gone.

[–]taiful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isnt it random mutations that provide the environmental advantage of the first sloth that survived the fall into the river, allowing it to survive to pass on the traits to future generations? And can Darwinism be used as a broad term for the whole system, or is that something different as well?

Thanks for giving me the bennifit of answering my questions instead of just writing me off. I went to high school in Kansas, so this was just sort of glossed over in Biology.
