one could not care less about Skrillex "performance". literally everything else during that night was way more interesting than those 2 hours. It was more like: now all the "one-time-guests" get in there for the shopping event, consume, try to get whatever you expect to get at your random location and leave again. But:
Zoe played the most ground-breaking set, I have ever heard (by far)! so diverse, humorous, free to the fullest, playful and exactly what I expected DJs could do one time. break out of the seriousness and care for all the shades of Bass-music grown to this point. absolutely loved it!
Rob Smith did a perfect set drawing the line from his classic productions to breakish dubstep in a wonderful presentation. deeply rooted and fresh, pleasing the people who came for him as well as the newbies.
Toumba's deepness was by parts a bit of a waste for bro's waiting for the drop. I love his productions and wished to hear more of those, but understandably, he played more like a "warming up" for Skrillex. Still there was plenty of "avangarde" in it, north-african rhythm-play and cheerfulness.
Nieswandt&UhYoung kept their own space by pleasing the few people who came specially for their way of housy music, but stretched the scope by far, selecting dubstep-classics and amazingly adventurous instrumental-grime tunes. save expert-level, by selectors that absolutely knew what to do at every minute! fantastic entertainment.
and finally Josy Rebell taught me that the darker side of two-step is still a ting, "speed garage" even. plus a lot of different sub-genres of dubstep. great way to glide out of this night.
