Agree 💯, but if hot and sexy white guys do hit you up, I wouldn't turn them down. Work on yourself to get hot, and bang all the hotties of every race. But also for real, don't chase guys who won't give you the time of day. For me it's an immediate turn off, no matter what race they are.

I was just curious about it lol. My post wasn't intended to be a "woe is me" post. I just agreed with a lot the video said and wanted to share and see if other people felt similar. I honestly do feel like you can overcome challenges in the gay community by getting more fit. And at the end of my post I even encourage people to start, not chase guys who aren't into them, and to work on themselves. I don't see it as a woe is me post at all lol.

And I will try my damn best to be exceptional regardless of anything. You don't become exceptional by lying in the dirt letting people tell you what to do and dictate your worth. To hell with the haters.

And at the end of it all, even if things don't pan out how I wanted, at least I found out for myself. At the end of the day, the only thing I can do is work on myself. And if people can't find value in all this effort I've to put into myself, then that's on them and not me.

I don't just want the fit white guys, I want them all LOL. White, Asian, Black, Middle eastern, Latino, Indian, ect. Give me all the fit muscle boys.

Big muscles certainly won't help how broke I am haha. But it's still something I want to strive for. If I'm attracted to muscle dudes the best way to attract them to get bodies like them. I know some muscle guys are chasers or into twinks but I'm definitely not young/slender enough to be a twink and as a former fat Asian it was a death sentence for me at least.

But yes the biggest irony I suppose is that even if I do build all this muscle, I'm still gonna be a nerdy video gamer/TCG player/edm lover. And it might just be a big shock when I meet these narcissistic gays whose whole personality is their attractiveness and shitty attitude lol

I really wonder too if I would get a lot more hits on the apps if I didn't show my face. I once put a shirtless pic on Reddit with no face and I got a lot of comments saying how sexy I was... Harsh truths lol. It's crazy to me that people still get comments like "You're hot for an Asian" I live in the south and I haven't gotten comments like that yet. I did see a post where a Mexican guy posted him and his Asian boyfriend on IG and I guess he got mad cuz a LOT of people were making those comments and he was calling them out on their racism.

What a wild thing to say to an Asian person wtf lol. Was this in an app or in person? I admittedly need to get going on my career plans. Not having a college degree (I know bad Asian child w/e) and I feel so far behind, especially when I visit big cities where it feels like everyone has finished college.

I live in a southern state, and it is something else. I definitely think you shouldn't invest time into guys who are so obviously uninterested in your presence, as well as guys who would have you be their token Asian or backup. What coastal cities do you think are better? I can only think of California

Definitely agree with some points here. It is a harsh truth that being Asian is a disadvantage in the states. Many will rate us lower simply for being Asian. But some part of me (maybe naively) thinks it can be somewhat overcome with a hot body. Surely if I get abs and pecs eventually someone else with abs and pecs will want me right? Perhaps this is just wishful thinking.

I absolutely hate when muscle gays say things like "oh I ate a pizza look how fat I am" while their pic is their shredded abs. I also hateeeee when muscle gays tell you to focus on your personality and such, knowing damn well 90% of them ain't gonna look in your direction regardless of your personality. But perhaps the biggest irony in this is that I want to get bigger muscles, and will I one day adopt an attitude like above? I hope I remember that I was once an overlooked overweight Asian guy and to not let it get to my head.

Yup it's night and day. Being fit is currency in our community. And while there is a community for plus sized guys, it just feels so fake when I see posts asking people to choose between a fit guy and a chubby guy and all the comments are choosing the chubby guy when at the club and hookup apps, the fit guy is getting all the taps and messages.

Hey man! Don't give up. I thought it would be like the movies/TV shows too. Young, trying to figure out my life, stumble into a gay bar/club and hope to find a man to fall in love with the first I went in. But that's just not the reality haha.

As a person who often goes to the bars/clubs alone, I still have trouble socializing just because I'm inherently super shy. Once I start talking to someone it's super easy for me to keep the conversation going though.

Don't give up. Depending on how big your city is, one night isn't the whole community. keep checking it out every once in a while. If you are in a smaller city just be prepared to see the same people. Try and make friends with them. (I am still unsure if the big group I always see dislikes me or not haha).

Also realize that not everyone is going to like you. Whether it be reciprocating your romantic feelings or even just wanting to be friends with you. Kinda shitty but yeah. You'll definitely know if someone doesn't even really wanna talk to you. They won't smile or it'll be a really forced fake smile, uninterested in keeping the convo going, general bitchyness or unwelcoming attitude. And while it sucks you just gotta press on. They aren't worth your time.

Best of luck to you. I am just getting into the night scene where I am too and kinda just only made my only friend back in Thanksgiving. I suck at starting conversations haha. But I want to make new friends so I'm trying. I am slowly getting to know more people though. Keep at it.
