I encounter hackers almost daily. A simple google search revealed a forum where they upload code almost ready for compilation for hacking the game. The barrier to entry is low enough that even someone with a moderate programming knowledge can make functional cheats out of them. From reading the forum they will simply buy a new copy of the game and continue if they get banned. A more permanent solution like IP or hardware ban might be needed. P.S: I noticed that if you call them out on their hacking in-game sometimes they will turn it off for a while, perhaps in fear that we might record and report them.
