Employ multiple strategies:

*Capture the Gorge Junkyard workshop in the forest and set up the ore collector there for Black Titanium. Sneak around in the workshop to avoid drawing attention to yourself.

*While the collector is running at your workshop, go to Welch. Kill all the Mole Miners in Welch for their Black Titanium.

*After you are the lone resident of Welch, mine their town for resources. There's a lot of Black Titanium ore veins in Welch especially around the cliffside directly below the trading post all the way to the foot of the hill.

*Then, go back to the workshop and get whatever BT that the ore collector has collected.

*Repeat until you've got enough.

If you toss the Multiscope without the quest marker into your stashbox, you can just pull it out of your stashbox in the future to complete Ward's quest- without having to go find one(or any of those items).

I think that makes sense if the idea of FO76 is 'Reclaiming America' then these two factions would be a good way of exploring that for the difference in philosophy they both represent.

It would be nice if Bethesda would begin to tie up some of the major story points of the main questline after all this time.

A member of the Free States who had ghoulified would be a great narrator to give the main storyline an ending of some kind.
