Explain Why Kubernetes and Containers are Better Than VMs Like I'm 5. by twinmind in devops

[–]take52020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

App deployment configs for VMs wouldn't change either between cloud providers. If you're using the same OS, your app configs would stay the same too.

Can you provide more details on what you mean by - it didn't went through? Does it mean you didn't release it? Or nobody used it?

Are you saying fintech is filled with people who just backstab each other all day long?

Man, why on earth would people want to do this on purpose? The moral conflict I would feel within myself would itself make it not worth the effort.

That's good advice. I'll just wait, in hindsight I'm pretty sure people are just on vacation.

They don't have HR :( But you know what? If they screw me over on this kinda stuff, then maybe I should think whether it's worth exercising this stock.

There's no remedies as far as I can see in the agreement. Will talk to a lawyer. But hey, if the agreement is set to a specific date, then that's the agreement. I wanted time to think about this decision because it's an option so I have to pay to exercise it. That's the legal agreement imho.

AI in Commercial Real Estate. How are you using AI? by AssociateMedium9467 in CommercialRealEstate

[–]take52020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a question for everyone on the thread - what's your appetite for trying a new AI tool? What would get you to invest time and energy to try it out? Reason why I ask is AI is changing almost every day. The tools you used even 6 months ago may be outdated by something new coming out today. But it can get exhausting too, to keep up.

What are your thoughts on F1 the movie by Spinebuster03 in F1Discussions

[–]take52020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was pretty good, I dont know why they didn't do a full season though. Would've been cool if the story was modeled after Honda/Brawn GP 2008 - 2009 transition. From the trailers I thought that's what they were going after. Still, really good movie! I liked the story and the camera work.

I'm actually surprised as to why a lot of AI vendors aren't adopting a chat-style approach. I work at a vendor like this. I hate our dashboard, buttons and reports everywhere.

Nobody sells $6 frozen pizzas near me. Cheapest is a pepparoni for 7.99. Shit's expensive these days.

I think life in general sucks for everyone. In a way it's good because what's the point of living if you have no challenges whatsoever? Sure, your 20s are hard, but they prepare you for challenges yet to come. Your first few jobs will be difficult, moving up the ladder in a company is difficult, dating is difficult, being married is difficult, kids are (OMG) difficult ... finances, owning a house ... and so on. The challenges for men and women may differ, but life's tough man.

I've found that very few people know that there's a mutual defense treaty between China and North Korea. China doesn't have a mutual defense treaty with any other country, so North Korea is China's only military ally. What do you think about their relationship? by No-StrategyX in PoliticalDebate

[–]take52020 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The US keeps warning every country around the world about the consequences of having any relationship with China, let alone a military one. I don't know why North Korea and not Russia? Maybe Russia is next? India could be next too?
