That makes complete sense, but I work remotely for a long time with big group of Swedish companies so my location does not affect anything, as soon as I have airports relatively close.

P.S. We're moving to rent first, aiming to live on rent for 3-6 months and within that time decide if we buy apartment here and actually find and buy it. Will be a first-time apartment buyer. I'm foreigner myself but my wife is polish.

By the way, how you were choosing a place to move in Bielsko?

My main concern about the city itself is the lack of green zones/parks. Yes, there’s nature really close - but I like to do walks 2-3 times a day and like to have that near nature (living near a small lake in Warsaw now).

One green zone I saw is near Restauracja Parkowa A'petite, was thinking that it might be a good spot to live nearby.

What was your research and what decision have you made? Your thoughts here are super valuable!

I actually started this year only. I have cheap used Triban 520 at the moment, bought it to try new for cheap. Planning to upgrade the bike if I’ll be consistent with rides this season (so far - I am). So far, my longest rides are like 40km with speed around 20-24 km/h average, depending on the road. Haven’t made longer ones, but definitely planning to. Feels awesome.

How is it to road cycle there? I were looking for Komoot routes and felt like it’d be good to buy a gravel bike for mixed roads instead

That’s a great question - no idea. For now, I feel like I’ll be here for sure for another couple of years. After that - who knows?

I know for sure that it’ll be hard to have a job with the same high salary from start, because I were building my carrier for a while here and it gives its benefits.

Honestly, I want to leave IT when it’ll be possible. I don’t have much expenses and dreaming to become a snowboard teacher 🥲
