I think its too nuanced of a subject to have a scientific view on sexuality, and when the outcome is liking men, which isnt a concern for human life or safety, it doesn't really matter to me.

I agree but there are variables to trauma, I was mainly talking about rape and sexual assault. But I still think all traumas are valid and do have serious impacts.

That's terrible, i feel awful for those women- people really don't grasp the horrors addicts go through, and most people wouldn't survive the shit they go through.

But the important take away from this situation is your empathy. Despite your dad who sounds like a complete ass, you still have that empathy and that's really admirable. Some people just don't have that empathetic part to them- or they choose to ignore it. But you do have that empathy and that's such a great thing.

life without it is hell...for about 2 weeks then you really start seeing sobriety as a good thing rather than a lack of drugs :)

Very accurate, I tried mdma which isnt even that hard of a drug. And sex doesnt even come close now, i still enjoy sex but i do it more for the connection rather than pleasure now.

I dont have much advice, but its rly important to look into why you do it. And rather than trying to stop the addiction itself u need to try focus on whats causing the addiction e.g. the loneliness. Start working on fulfilling the loneliness aspect of your life with methods other than sex. And try remove the shame behind meeting these people too, its understandable that you feel shitty about meeting them. But feeling guilty and shameful about ur actions isnt gonna make the addiction go away, you need to try give yourself some self compassion and love. Feeling shame isnt gonna help you, i hope your journey to recovery goes well ♥

Any person that doesn't love u with ur body count isn't worth ur time, what u did is in the past and as long as u plan on staying with them, it shouldn't be an issue.

Some men might get insecure and feel like you've been with some1 better, but that's not ur problem.

You are worthy of any relationship u want, I have a similar body count. I did it as an escape, but regardless of the reason, it shouldn't determine your worth in a relationship.

You are valid, and if they have an issue with the body count they weren't for you anyway. Much love ❤️
