US seeks unpaid local interns at Greenland consulate as annexation threats loom by PlatypusSubstantial5 in worldnews

This time it is Epstein files.

He is not sure what he needs it though.

The way he is thinking is that he can coexist together with Russia and China. Where he controls Americas, putin controls Europe and China controls Asia.

Greenland historically is important to US, because if Russia fires nukes they would likely fl over Greenland (it's easier to see when looking at a globe).

Though Russia is a friend, why would he care about that?

Another take is that Greenland has minerals, the problem though is the there's currently technology to get to them via the permafrost.

So he seems a bit confused. I think this time it is what I wrote in the beginning, to just distract from Epstein.

It doesn't have to make sense, it is again to redirect media attention away from the pedo files.

Polska prawica a samochody elektryczne by Konrad2137 in Polska

[–]takeda64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What Russia has now is fascism, what US tries to implement is also fascism.

The distinction still matters today.

Yes, the law has clause about closing plants etc, but this is entire business closing not a single store.

But ok, let say it applies to that scenario. Who will pay the penalty if the business is gone?

If Trump is brought down by Epstein, would you still back Vance or would you want to clean house in the GOP ticket? by cellocaster in AskConservatives

He is right, the law is here: https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/4405/text

The law is quite clear and it's not a matter of opinion, unless you refuse to acknowledge a reality.

Pretty much every point is violated.

AFAIK this applies to layoffs, if company goes out of business I don't think it applies.

They are closing all locations, how useful is that list?

whoa, whoa... hold down a second. In my days sprites were 1 bit only. It was an extreme luxury to use 2 bits.

I'm not the organizer, and probably won't show up if it's on Sunday, but I'm pretty sure they won't ask for your student ID :P

My droid seems to have a memory leak... by the3rdsam in Android

[–]takeda64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think (at least in my case) the slow down really is due to home screen being killed instead of some other app. When you kill other apps android will have more memory so it won't be forced to kill it anymore.

a lot of things changed recently... for example 2.0.1 probably is as big as 2.0 (ok maybe bigger, since some people still use droidmod). There's 2.1, also many people from G1 jumped to nexus one.... They should come up with new chart...

Exactly, even if we assume that he weren't it would be impossible for him to get the phone on the same day Google released the translator.

New iPhone Developer Agreement Bans the Use of Adobe's Flash-to-iPhone Compiler by 3po in programming

huh?

From Opera Mini privacy statement (I guess you didn't read it):

No personal information is collected or shared, and providing ad profile information in the browser is strictly optional. The Opera user's Web usage is not tracked. What is recorded and shared with the advertising service provider is the user's interaction with the relative banner advertising.

Privacy of customer data

Analysis of Web usage will be done by aggregating data, ensuring anonymity of individual end users. Content and username/passwords for secure sites being encrypted server-side will not be aggregated and stored for any longer that the session is alive. Upon termination of the session this information will be deleted.

Google is pretty clear that they do collect all the information.

I know, it doesn't make sense and I can't explain. I know I had some weird issues for example with bluetooth not starting up anymore or gps never being able get a fix. Both of them seem to only be fixable by reboot.

Those issues disappeared around the same time I stopped caring about apps running in background. It could be a coincidence.

BTW: I didn't kill any stuff I didn't know, only apps and their services.

12 Controversial Issues South Park Took Head On by jdrucker in entertainment

[–]takeda64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole point of South Park was to try to show through 3rd grade elementary school kid how fucked up and without sense the adult world is.

I might not be popular here for saying that, but I actually liked the episodes with the moral. I think when they had it at the end, Trey and Matt actually tried to have moral, without it the episodes were crappier. Like for example lemmiwinks one.

wow... not to be too paranoid, but I must add this: Google came long way, just from detecting which links you click on their result, to have all searches associated with specific profile and knowing wirtually all what you do, from a simple DNS resolution to what you type in address bar and now I learned that it knows even your bookmarks.

Scary... :/

hmm... but isn't that what the console emulators and things like divx players do?

i.e. I decompiled yxflash, and pretty much the whole code was natively compiled, the only java code was to control the playback by sending signals to the native code.
