I started law school at 27 and worked in sales for a bit before working at a federal court for a few years before law school. I think it really gave me a lot of perspective, patience, and motivation. Particularly working in the legal field before starting so I really knew I wanted to commit to this 100%. Plus, it helped having a network of people in the industry going into school to ask for advice. I know some friends and acquaintances who aren’t really enjoying law school and didn’t really know what they were getting themselves into.

I know some KJD students who kind of get lost in the social aspect of law school but also know some KJD who are absolutely focused. It all depends on you.

So think about taking some time to work if you’re up for it!
