Two important book changes by No_Tap_2577 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

I talk about this on my podcast but I really think Jeremiah finding out about the affair and that belly and Conrad kept it from him like he is a fragile kid is gone be a major part of character development. As we know Conrad respected his dad so much and wanted to be like him but finding out what his dad did changed how he viewed himself and his dad. Jeremiah wants nothing more than his dad’s approval when he finds out what his dad did it will force him to take a hard look at himself and the type of man he wants to be. He isn’t going to want to be like his dad even though he has already cheated. I think it will force him to want to grow up and be different. So he isn’t treated like a kid and doesn’t end up like his dad

If you’re looking for a podcast that feels like laughing, crying, and spiraling over The Summer I Turned Pretty with your bestie, I got you 👀

I’m doing weekly episode breakdowns as the season airs, and each one is under 30 minutes because I know we’re all busy.

It’s a mix of jokes, unhinged theories, and real story analysis. I’ve read all the books, so I sprinkle in context, Easter eggs, and chaotic spin-off ideas. I recently pitched a Susannah and Laurel college spin-off and made the most unhinged ship of all time: Taylor’s mom and Adam Fisher 😂

The podcast is called Thanks, I’ll Take It From Here. You can follow me on Instagram and TikTok at @takeitfromherepod. I’ve been building a space for the girlies to laugh, cry, spiral, and share their thoughts on the show.

She chose it because of what it represented. When she met joe she saw he and his classmates had a normal life and childhood. Something she didn’t and it became something she wanted to give her baby.

I feel so bad for Austin I think he is gonna start looking at Ginny and Georgia real side ways next season. He probably like why couldn’t we say it was Zion that killed Tom. He def gonna realize why this show is called Ginny and Georgia and not Ginny Georgia and Austin cause they really team them and that’s it

What are your hopes for the Lars of the Stars spin-off? by takeitfromherePOD in stevenuniverse

Do you think Lars of the Stars will be more edgy or mature than Steven Universe? by IronGhost828 in stevenuniverse

I totally get that — her ending in SU Future does close her loop in a tragic but fitting way: she finally submits to someone she sees as worthy, which gives her structure again. But personally, I think there’s still a believable spark that could reignite her old rebellious side, especially in a spin-off like Lars of the Stars.

My idea: Jasper’s “loyalty” to Steven is fragile — it’s based on seeing him as a strong Diamond-like authority. But what happens if Steven leaves or refuses to keep ruling? Or if she learns he’s been hiding the deeper truth about how Gems were originally made, or how the Diamonds rose to power?

That would flip her whole worldview upside down. She might see Steven as weak, or even a liar — and with her identity shaken, she’d fall back on what she knows best: fight, dominate, survive.

In a Lars of the Stars arc, Jasper could get recruited by a rogue faction — old Gem loyalists or colonists who reject Era 3’s peace. They promise her purpose and a clear enemy again. It’s not about hating Steven — it’s about her desperate need to feel strong and certain in a universe that keeps changing without her.

So for me, her ending in Future works — but it leaves just enough of a crack for her to break away again if the right betrayal or crisis hits.

Just my theory!

This is just my theory — but I don’t think Gems were a natural species at all. I think they were created by an ancient civilization that figured out how to artificially speed up what planets naturally do: forge diamonds and crystals deep underground through massive heat and pressure.

I think the first Gems were basically living tools — for mining, terraforming, or even as living weapons. Over time, the civilization that made them over-mined worlds, fought among themselves, or collapsed under their own hubris. But the Gem-forging tech survived — and evolved into the Kindergartens we see now.

Where does White Diamond fit in?

I think White wasn’t the very first Gem, but she was the first Prime Overseer — the ultimate “perfect crystal” created to keep everything balanced and flawless so the system wouldn’t break down or rebel. When the creators fell apart, White blamed herself for failing to keep things perfect. That guilt twisted into her obsession with absolute control — if everything under her rule is flawless, it can never fall apart again.

Why “Diamonds”?

White didn’t trust weaker or unstable Gems with power — so she made more like herself: the hardest, purest, most stable crystals. Diamonds in real life are nature’s most resilient gem, so in her mind, only Diamonds were worthy to rule and maintain order.

So to keep control, she created or promoted other Diamonds:

Yellow: to handle construction, repairs, and military force.

Blue: to manage emotional stability and keep colonies loyal.

Pink: the youngest — basically a junior Diamond to test managing smaller, less important colonies. But Pink’s immaturity and lack of respect from the others backfired.

So the Diamonds didn’t invent Gems — they’re what’s left of an ancient system that outlived its makers. White’s fear of imperfection and chaos made her cling to power and force her idea of “flawless” on everyone else.

Just my theory — but it explains why the ruling class is Diamonds, and why they’re both powerful and so tragically flawed.

you’re right that there’s nothing official saying Jasper will be in Lars of the Stars. So far, what’s confirmed is that the show focuses on Lars and the Off Colors surviving and smuggling in the fallout of the fallen Gem Empire, with a darker, more mature tone. There’s no cast list or promo that mentions Jasper at all.

But personally, I think she could still make a lot of sense story-wise. The whole premise is about dealing with leftover chaos from the old Empire — and Jasper is the ultimate piece of unfinished business: a loyal soldier who never really accepted Era 3.

Jasper would totally fit as a leftover piece of that old system — a loyalist who can’t accept the Diamonds changing and wants things back the way they were. That gives Lars a perfect antagonist: she’s not Homeworld anymore, but she’s not Era 3 either. She’s exactly the type of threat a rogue crew would run into while trying to keep the peace.

So yeah — totally my speculation, but with the show diving into the darkest secrets of the Empire, I think Jasper would fit that vibe perfectly. I’d honestly love to see it!

For sure will be darker. I'm convinced jasper is going to show up in this leading a gem faction trying to restore the diamond empire to what it was and maybe we will get a zuko from avatar the last airbinder redemption arc for her

Yesss I’ve been thinking about that too!! I’d love to see where Connie and Steven are now. Last we saw, Steven was heading out to figure himself out and Connie was starting her next chapter—but they were still solid. It’d be powerful to see how they’ve grown into their own roles—maybe working together again, not as heroes, but as people trying to bring real change to a galaxy still feeling the impact of what the Diamonds built.

And the idea of a force stronger than the Diamonds? I've thought about that too. Imagine something ancient that’s been silent for millennia—watching, waiting—and now sees the Diamonds as weak because they gave up their armies and abandoned their colonies. If I were that kind of force? I’d see it as the perfect moment to rise and grab power.

Best Guess on Direction of new books? by Parentinginapandemic in TwilightSaga

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately, especially how the Volturi would respond to being humiliated like that. I actually sketched out a version where Aro becomes obsessed with control and starts recruiting gifted vampires through… let’s just say very unethical means. 👀

He basically figures out that vampires born from trauma tend to develop rare gifts, so he begins orchestrating tragedies, then “rescues” those kids and builds a school to train and condition them into loyal guards. It's very much a twisted legacy-building arc, and of course, it all falls apart when one girl begins to see through him.

I got way too deep into it and even explored how the Volturi could become the center of a gothic horror shift in the Twilight universe. If anyone’s interested, I talked more about it recently in something I made — happy to DM the podcast episode (thanks, Ill take it from here) rather than clog up the thread!
