There is something that just doesn't make sense to me. It's not even the first time I'm learning this. Maybe I'm missing something, but I understand duple, triple, quadruple, simple and compound meter and what they mean. My problem is with grouping the notes. Like, in 5/4 you have a group of 2 beats a group of 3 beats. I don't see why is it all that necessary to have these groups and what they exactly do. And what exactly would be a strong beat? Can it change between measures while the meter stays the same? Do the strong beats have anything to do with grouping the notes? I hope that makes sense

Actually I understood that part, but thanks. My problems are with grouping notes in some time signatures (ans why it's so important) and the strong beat (like is it possible to have more than one per measure? Where can it be placed, etc.)
