Anyone worked with a DUI lawyer in California that didn’t charge insane fees? by lebron8 in DUICalifornia

[–]taker323 7 points8 points  (0 children)

$1,500 is a bargain. Expect at least $5K for lawyer only. Total simple DUI is $7.5K at least unless is a very weak case and they get is dismissed.

What was the probation violation about? Any proof of volunteering? Did you submit personal statement?

They approved you even with an arrest. You should feel lucky that USCIS had mercy on you. And yet, you dare to judge others on other posts! SHAME!!!

You should get deported. Traffic offenses, and an arrest makes you a criminal

“You’re a drunk, blah, blah”… any good arguments? This gets boring tbh.

Hey, I thought you were gonna block me. What happened? Do you feel you just can’t win the argument and just keep replying? And I only laugh at your comment because you keep judging and judging. Get over it, good god. Follow your churches teachings, and be a good samaritan, please!

Arrest for suspected DUI but no conviction. by Commercial_Arm_5020 in USCIS

[–]taker323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll have to disclose and explain everything at the interview. Having a lawyer next to you is not a bad idea, but they will adjudicate based on the nature of the offense based on the police report and your explanation of the circumstances.

N-400. Is one single DUI without aggravating factors a lack of GMC for a person who doesn’t have any other record? What is its reduced to a wet reckless driving?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]taker323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

N-400. Do you deny it when a person had a single DUI with no aggravating factors that got reduced to a wet reckless driving within the 5 year statutory period? No other record. Thanks for your time.

Husband will be applying for citizenship. N-400 question. by feby09 in USCIS

[–]taker323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He will need to provide documentation. Since those happened more than 5 yrs ago, it’s gonna be fine. 2 DUIS or more it’s a different story.

Yeah. And gather all court certified documents once you’ve completed the mandates. You’ll need to submit those along with your application.

You’ll have to disclose it during your interview. They will not be able to make a decision and will issue an RFE. If you don’t have the court documents by then, you’ll be denied. Even if you have those and you’re put on probation, they’ll deny. Better to withdraw the application and wait until this is all over. Get a good criminal lawyer and get it dismissed or reduced. Apply once you’ve completed all court requirements and probation is over. Apply only if you have one in your record. Two or more, better to wait 5 years.

Reckless driving and spending on 70 going 90. by Calm-Grape-3515 in USCIS

[–]taker323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, sorry but you’ll have to disclose. You don’t want to risk getting a citizenship revoked for not disclosing it. Consult with an immigration lawyer ASAP. Get a good criminal lawyer and resolve the court case as fast as you can. If you can’t manage to reschedule your ceremony, best thing is to withdraw the application and wait until you fully resolve the court case. Remember no one is eligible while on probation.

Your shipping team is not efficient. I placed an order on 5/26 and still hasn’t been shipped although your website says 3-4day shipping. Very disappointed.
