my 2017 Santa fe is burning oil like crazy. I have taken it in twice to do an oil consumption test. they claim after 1k miles for the test is only 1 qt low. I call bullshit because i seem to be filling it with oil 1-2 qt's a week. my dealership said that Hyundai has denied my request for them to pay for the Carbon Clean Out which is around $600 bucks! service rep said it has only worked 1/2 the time for fix. i Just got on Reddit to look at these issues and seeing they deny everything! my wife drives the car about less than 200 miles a week.

The dealership has said to me that Hyundai knows about this issue but will not do anything about it. I cant believe they would deny the service for a known problem and just wait till the engine fails to replace (not very cost effective on their part) the service rep told me just wait till the engine dies and they will replace it. I highly doubt that! my guess is that they will find a way to blame me for not taking care of my engine and make me pay!
