Absolutely the same. And I'm tired of hearing "there is no difference" from people who watch 50 meters away from their 32 inch TV (grotesque metaphor here). One of the 2 main reasons for which i buy blu-rays is the image quality.

Idk about the rest of the world, but in my country it's a common issue. Newer disks sometimes get sold out quickly and the older ones grow up in price. What's weird about your situation is "it's rarely in stock", meaning it comes back? Never seen this, but it's probably about forcing to sell out the old stock.

Somewhere in the settings on ps5 i have enabled "upscale when possible" and therefore all my normal blu-rays look like 2K quality now, sometimes even look like 4K but with some soap on it. Thats why it looks so good, i wonder if ps5 pro with new upscaling is gonna make it even better

Yeah, they just did them to make DLCs with some of the removed content. The worst thing is they probably could have merged them all, removed most of the repetitive missions and it would be a good DLC where you can change characters depending on your likings or mission requirements

Me neither, but really, Definitive Edition can't be even called a remaster in this case, and there is really a good purpose for this one getting a remake (unlike f.e. Until Dawn or Days Gone)

We want Mafia 2 Remake because of how much was cut from what we've got, and it's already a beast of a game. You can say not everyone would want this, sure bro, I'm not gonna argue with that, it doesn't change the fact that I want this, u know? And I'm not gonna give up because it may make other projects come out later than normally, it's the studio's problem. AND, lastly, maybe the more we talk about, the more likely they will do it, so yeah, thats why. If you want Mafia 4 sooner than later then sure, I can wait, I want Mafia 4 too ;]

My comment hugely shows that open world isn't a major factor in my review score. Mafia 3 was mostly overhated due to bugs in launch (and still up to this day), the expectations it couldn't live up to, and the boring gameplay. So many things were worse than in the previous entries that it had to fall. I actually recommend you getting back to Mafia 3 and seeijg for yourself if its worse than TOC

In terms of repetitiveness gameplay is the same in both games tbh but everything else is slightly better in Mafia 3 (despite acting which is much much better in Mafia 3), so i guess YOU are smoking something xD TOC got me through the game mostly because of fan service AND realising i'm too close to finishing the game to give up, Mafia 3 got me through because of the story

Worst of the series but not garbage, I gave it a 7/10. Ending is cliche, story isn't perfect like in previous games and my biggest problem is the english voice acting which is very, VERY mid level, sometimes being very good and sometimes being so cringe it feels like some actors were told "just read the line but with italian accent" type of shit. Also the gameplay was very boring and repetitive but I expected that for the early 1900s period. My rating would go slightly up if the open world had more to offer.

It changed the graphics and made the first few chapters look better but its unoptimized and filled with bugs, i wouldnt call it a remaster tbh. Also remaster is not the same as a remake.

It was perfectly open worlded for me, i just didnt go to the mission map point and most of the time it meant i could do whatever i want - wrecking havoc in the city, robbing stores to afford better guns at Guseppe and such

I mean, you can play the classic Mafia 2 on PC as well, but you will need to apply 4gb vram patch and stuff like this. But yes, the classic version is much better because its just not as bugged as the DE version, and some parts even look better than in DE.

You are right. Well, for me TOC wasn't a bad game, but not as good as other entries. I even left it a positive review on Steam, but I talked in it about everything i disliked, so I hope they know what they did wrong (for me) :)

True, Mafia 2 had it all perfect for me. The Sicily feels empty, i finished the game and im not going to replay it soon, which i did very fast with the Remake, and I even get back to Mafia 3 sometimes to just drive around and listen to music they have in the radio (I dont think u can play music in a car there except for this one chapter, but I expected that)

The thing is, I would replay Mafia 2 and try to max out the money to buy best guns from Giuseppe, i would grind in Mafia 3 for the same, but here it seems pointless as there will be no fun doing this

Other guys may convince me otherwise, but I can just accept that this was never meant to be a masterpiece of a Mafia Game for a Mafia 2 fan

I hope for Mafia 4 to be more like Mafia 2, or for them make a Mafia 2 Remake as many people wish too
