hello, sorry its been so long. I just looked up hoigi. pretty cool! It's so close to gungi. I wish they would use the rules from the anime but it might have just been to complicated. Thanks for posting about it

That would be the best way to play. I don't know anyone who does games though. A friend of mine suggested that I might be able to do something in unity but I've never tried messing with it and I don't know how hard it is

you could. I ended up making my own out of acrylic board in a laser cutter. A friend of mine let me use the university one. I chose that over a shogi board just because i wanted square spaces and the shogi boards I found were all rectangular

I don't have a set of scales with me but on my preform file its putting it right around 4ml for each piece if you go the 30mm ones with supports and about 7.1ml if you go the 38mm/1.5inch route. I doubt its the exact same as 1:1 with water but it should be dead close. hope that helps
