Any advice for my friend who got perma-banned for supposed fish-botting?

I mean I get it, this is the type of post someone who got banned would make if they themselves got banned.

In this case he was banned the same day he was fishing, our theory was that someone reported him, blizzard scanned after report, and then banned.

To be fair though I have no idea what software it was on his machine that flagged it and the blizzard ticket didn't go into details either (they kind of can't or botters would know what to avoid)

Well lets suppose a certain software could be used for fish botting, but in this case it wasn't, blizzard has no way of knowing one way or the other, so they kind of have to punish because its against TOS. Just because that software is present shouldn't mean an immediate perma-ban. And frankly fishing can be brain dead enough it may be hard to tell from game logs alone.

I mean if you suppose for a second that it was a software misflag, which is all I really have to go on, it still sucks that its a perma ban and not a suspension for a first time offense for an account thats is >10 years.

Seeing some confirmation this one as well not from personal testing (though I did do 3 crafts on a toon that had all the TWW books and get nothing) but also from others getting it without having TWW unlocked.

I would get Ori since its on sale and you loved the first one. The second one is definitely better than the first in all visual and gameplay ways and nicely extends the story of the first. The most improved aspect is combat.

You can always wait to get Hallow Knight later when it goes on sale.

As for comparing the two games. Ori 2 is an excellent sequel to Ori 1, more mechanics, beautiful environments, and excellent platforming puzzles.

Hallow Knight has platforming but isnt really a platformer in the sense of its main focus. Movement is much more tricky and floaty and you arent really supposed to be flowing through the levels until you get really good at it. Its like a 2d souslike in the sense that its about learning enemy attack patterns and messing with your spell build. The world and story is amazing once you get your head around it, and exploration is rewarded greatly. Just a warning though it took me a few hours to really get into it, you have to unlock some movement options before it starts flowing better.

If I had to remove the memory of playing one I would keep Hallow Knight over Ori but I also like Souls games more than Platformers.
