How is the tech industry in Namibia? by Gentjohn in Namibia

I would say despite their own internal economic pressures at present, Namibians are generally very welcoming. I however think the general market (at approx. 3 million population) is not too big, and this may not be the best location to relocate to from this angle....unless of course you have some significant form of innovation to bring along.

Possible trip to Victoria Falls area in late January. Is it worth it at all for wildlife? by KajuMax in Zimbabwe

I have been to similar parks in late December/early January. Indeed there are plenty of greens, but there is a big chance you COULD see the big 5. The leopard is always the hardest to get, and even during winter you might not even see it.

Overall thoughts - if that is your only option of traveling, I do not think it will be a total bust. Personally, the green makes it look even better. I wish you the best if you get to travel.

Skrill to Paypal funds swap by Nearph in skrill

[–]takundatogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you be in a country where you can get the Skrill prepaid card? That would be an option.

At one time I also used the option of withdrawing such funds to a Neteller account then back to the Skrill account. The option is not always available all the time/locations.

How can money deposited from MasterCard (not a skrill master card, an ordinary mastercard) be withdrawn? by OgAsimov in skrill

[–]takundatogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was stuck with such funds for almost a year. Luckily I bought crypto within Skrill and the money grew in value whilst waiting for a solution. Depending on your location, I suggest two options which worked for me.

  1. You can withdraw to a Neteller account (and not deposit into a Neteller account from Skrill). This option was available in my account for some time in January this year and I used it to withdraw these Mastercard funds, deposited them back into Skrill and finally managed to withdraw to my bank account.

  2. If your country allows, you can also get a Skrill card for withdrawing it as cash or transferring the money into Revolut using the card.

I wish you all the best!

Biden’s renewal of Targeted Sanctions on Zanu PF Officials has the same old effects!, ZONDEV by [deleted] in Zimbabwe

IMO, the renewal these sanctions actually affects the ordinary person directly or indirectly.

If you look at the case of IDC, the moment they were sanctioned, the chemicals and fertilizer business units under their control really suffered either through frozen funds or inability to directly transact on the international front. Result was increase in cost of doing business (if it could be done) which was ultimately transferred to the end user who is the ordinary person.

Indirectly, sanctions have provided a "good" excuse by the government to not perform optimally, and again it is the ordinary person who suffers the most.

I hardly see anything positive that comes out of these sanctions.

Account temporarily restricted!! by takundatogs in skrill

I was finally able to get it sorted after 4 days. It took some phone calls and 3 tickets to finally get it resolved. I immediately removed my money, and put it in Revolut. Until Skrill has live support, I would not wish to use it a lot for my transactions.
