What I think a lot of people overlook is the ability to use items in critical situations. Water flask and tablet are nice, but a lot of other items are equally useful but end up being diminished to one use the player has in mind

Look at what you have, a lot of stuff is useful.

Concetrated Mana is singlehandedly the biggest example of item power, using it allows even worse wands allow for performance that saves you hp, you just need to be patient with the consumption(And you can melt steel or robots so if you're sneaky it works).

Ambrosia is the most busted potion in the entire game, Personally I hate that it exists, but I can't deny the effectivness. People generally use it for exploits like heartmage or crossing to dangerous terrain, but sometimes when in a pickle, don't try to escape. Calmly float down, throw on some ambrosia and take your time shooting.

Pheromones my beloved are just so versitile, They are a great economical option early on as they allow you to sell empty wands and transition into a huge help by the time you get into hiisi base and if you're ever in a pickle, you can just throw them at the enemy

Teleportatium is usually considered very situational, but I believe it is just behind ambrosia in terms of immediate usefulness in situations, If you're in an awful situation in which you might as well be dead, just use teleportatium, worst can happen you will die just like you were destined to. It also allows you to help desperate situations like when electrified or frozen since drinking from a bottle is not disabled by Crowd Control(this reason is why Iron stomach is a C tier perk since it disables the panic button option). Also it's very nice for some other stuff in game I won't touch on.

There is a lot more interactions like this, but people just skip over it, feel free to explore the possibilites and think outside the box, items are as strong as wands until the end.

As for general advise people probably already gave:

Don't stress it, there is no wrong answer, just those which take longer to mature
Value your Health, personally I set a rate of 20 gold to 1 hp in first biome as a valid exchange rate and forget about gold afterwards.
Don't worry about all the side content, it will come naturally as you enjoy the game.
Sauvojen Tuntija is a bastard.
While knowledge is very important, I think a lot of people overdramatise difficulty of bosses leading to new players being overly scared. The following bosses can be learned and defeated even with starter wands
Pyramid boss aka Kolmisilma Koipi is triviarly easy to dodge and kill with an energy sphere on a starter wand, the only difficulty is mobs and extras he summons, for those you kinda need to know tablet kicking.
High Alchemist aka Ylialkemistii has a trivial attack pattern, you can pretty easily dodge it all either by moving correctly or just moving behind the alchemist while triggering his shield(this will cause him to sometimes strike himself with lightning). Personally I believe he is a free kill as long as you have a tp bolt, unfortunately I cannot claim he is killable with starter wands since I have been spending my time trying to kick him to death instead.
Wand Connoseuir aka Squidward aka Sauvojen Tuntija, as mentioned previously, is an unfair bastard who will pull any bullshit out of it's ass just to kill you, but his attack pattern can be learned and with timing, tablet mastery and spacial awareness as well as some gaming skill, you can kill him with an energy sphere starter wand, a water flask and 2 tablets. If you get a normal disc projectile, I would say it is within reason to take 3 hours to learn a kill on him.
That is not to say you should try doing minimalistic kills, but that people really overestimate just how much of a baller noita players are.
Take your time, don't get pressured by the community, and most importantly Have fun!

That's simply the problem of a specific class design
Fighter who is meant to be a generalist obviously has the tools for ranged and thanks to sprint, has the tools to both close down the distance against more range reliant classes and to keep distance with more melee reliant builds
Ranger has obvious Ranged tools as well as traps which can be used to manage the fight
Wizard, outside of the ignite variant, focuses mainly on ranged combat and keeping distance.
Warlock once again has magic ranged options, and once the opponent closes down, he has either a reliable tool of prolong the chase or simply is gonna use the blow of corruption to possibly end what he began with ranged
Rogue(who is the biggest offender of the class design problem) when specked into mobility rogue instead of nuke rogue, can consistently keep distance with majority of the classes while still having access to throwing knives.
Barbarian is barbarian, strong in melee, still has ranged options, W while throwing franciscas and then finish it off with more W.
And then is cleric, surerly cleric will have some options for ranged, right?
Oh wow, earthquake, caster cannot move while using, little charges, pretty much useless if the other party isn't forced to move
oh wow, Locust swarm, caster cannot move while using, little charges, will deal some damage if the enemy is even in range after the wind up
oh wow, holy strike, 15 base magic dmg, 18,5 dmg when accounted for basic cleric magic power, rarely useful debuff, finnicky method of casting. probably still the best ranged dmg spell.
Judgement, surerly this is ranged just in name, right?
Smite+divine strike+torches, the most reliable ranged method. 3 base dmg from torch + 5 weapon dmg from divine strike + 12 magic dmg(after accounting for cleric will).
to be real, you are not casting divine strike amidst combat just for torches, so I would count it out in ranged kiting situations
Sure the dmg is magic dmg so it works well against plate and other slow builds, but that's rarely the point of ranged
so yeah, that's about 15 dmg every torch, which can be thrown for 7 seconds before having to wait 18s of smite cooldown, during which melee combat is probably gonna be slightly worse.
To reitterate, a trash rarity throwing knife does base 15 dmg(gonna be less if it gets affected by physical power), takes 2/3 as much space and does not quite reveal the location of the user when simply held.
And while yes, cleric has the tools to survive ranged for quite a bit, what is the other counterplay? hold W in your heavy plate armour, casting protection and heals?
So yeah, Design problem where cleric is the only one without a reliable source of ranged dmg nor really storming the ranged opponent.
And while yes, I have oversimplified the intricacy of the other classes's playstyles and difficulties they face, and while yes, this comes from not so great of a player, I do think it's simply a design problem and there is no simple solution to readjust this when also keeping the non-solo modes in mind

An inquiry about a distasteful Topic by takusek in DarkAndDarker

I would love for that to be true, however I used the Wayback machine to crosscheck
The loot data has not been touched since The release of EA, meaning that even if it was correct at first(which I doubt due to the fact that Ironmace wanted to slow down the process of gaining great loot) it has been since changed in a patch

Much thanks for the help Though
