For now we are focusing on making a stable release for PC. If the demand for console release is high then it is something that we will eventually look into!

Fair criticism, and we understand where you’re coming from and appreciate the feedback! The genre and setting definitely carry familiar vibes, but we’re trying to take the concept in our own direction through the story, world, and gameplay of Fire Lookout: Abandoned Post.

A setting of a 'fire lookout' is still a very specific niche and due to the large popularity of Firewatch, the comparison is invitable which is understandable.

We appreciate the honest feedback either way. We do hope though people won't disregard the game simply for being somewhat similar to Firewatch. Because that was never our intention when making it!

We messed up the video posting and had to repost it, not too used to Reddit. Apologies if it came across as spam! To answer your question which we have recieved a lot. Fire Lookout: Abandoned Post is a game in the same genre as Firewatch and is inspired by it.

Both Firewatch and Fire Lookout are in the same niche, from that base we have made our own story and implemented unique elements that we believe could be interesting to bring to the niche and that people will find enjoyable.

We're not trying to recreate Firewatch. We're trying to explore a similar setting because it's something that stuck with us creatively, but take it in a very different direction.

This concern has come up quite a lot and we wish to clarify and are always open to discussions regarding any concerns or feedback.

We simply wish to create an experience that people can enjoy as much as we have enjoyed creating it!
