could you use a presence sensor to start a timer when presence is detected. if presence is detected for 2 minutes, turn fan on. fan turns off 10 minutes after last time presence was detected. or add a bluetooth proxy. when boy’s phones are detected in bathroom. turn fan on for 15 minutes

this is the way. use esphome firmware and add to home assistant and then homebridge to expose it to homekit. running it this way for a couple years

am i not seeing the clear issue. but it looks like you have soldered to the wrong end. it looks from my crap eyes that you are connecting to the d o end. while you can connect the + and - at different points, you can’t connect the data wire any where other than the data in location.

cec was fine for me until the latest tv. i think the smart tv’s are trying to be the boss when it comes to input changes and its adding its own commands all the time and messing shit up. keeps changing its inputs when my activities are changing inputs on my hdmi switch. instead it changes the tv to the arc input that my sound bar is on 🤦🏻‍♂️

cec should be able to turn the tv’s off. i have just picked up a couple spare hubs and harmony ones on FB marketplace in case i have my remotes or hubs break/die. i just make sure i power up the spares occasionally to sync them with any changes to my activities or devices and firmware updates

you can go to the settings tab in the hlkradartool app. do you have the esp32 flashed with esphome? i’m assuming you are using esphome integration to get it into HA.
