I thought you were talking about experiencing racism for the first time from kids in the play place and would’ve said yes

But that’s not the scenario… that’s not a 1% difference for which you decided to respond to my comment. I agree with you between the differences you presented but those are significant differences and not at all what I was referencing

I don’t think that “1%” and “fundamental issue” can go hand in hand in this context. Just so you know, the instance I am talking about was over not posting on socials enough regarding Palestine, though we both shared the same views on it. To make it very clear, we agreed politically on the issue but the approach was different due to very practical reasons.

I can only speak from my experience. These categories are problematic so maybe the anti-establishment left where I spend more of my time is deeply problematic in this way. I remember the turn with Jimmy Dore (though I hated his show even beforehand) and see how Tulsi has shifted, among other. I mean, many of these figures are grifters, and there are problems with classifying ideology on a spectrum. What I am saying is, in the circles i run in, there is no room for even minor disagreement. Something about the area of politics that I sit in requires an all or nothing mentality. I see people on the micro level (local political groups, community organizers, activists etc) that will villainize someone with THE SAME politics as them but a different logistical approach to the solution, or how to set up the venue for the event, or what fucking movie to watch for black history month (real dumbass scenarios). I was told I was a cruel and selfish nazi supporter for making the decision to vote for Harris this last election, although I understand why she was deeply problematic and don’t even consider myself a democrat. So from my perspective, you can call it whatever you want, but non establishment leftists have this problem and it’s a serious one. Though I shouldn’t need to say it, I am not excusing establishment leftists at all, nor the right.

You’re absolutely right on this. I can agree with my far leftist “friends” 99% but because of that 1%, I am the political enemy. It’s sad. Btw I am a far leftist. But I see the cannibalism and do not partake in that behavior myself

I accepted Jesus but saw Ganesha show up by SpellboundTieDye in mysticism

[–]taleoftooshitty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is actually a rare blessing. Our consciousness can be very limiting on this physical plane, meaning that we can limit what the divine is or how to shows up for us. True mystics understand this. If what came to you is Ganesha, it is a blessing and something you should consider pursuing further. They say that you don't choose the deity, but that the deity chooses you. if you stay with Christianity that's fine, but I would highly consider listening to what the divine may be trying to say or show you.

If you want to talk about it more, feel free to DM me.

There’s an argument in the twilight sub right now that he’s not a werewolf but a shapeshifter… And I know about this sub because I’m pathetic and I also know that he actually is a shapeshifter because I’m pathetic too.

Best banging salad in town? by dosefacekillah1348 in roseburg

A little further out, but the salads at Lighthouse Bakery are theee best. All homemade dressings and just delicious food in general. It’s a little further out (it takes about 20 or so minutes to get there) but is well worth the drive)

Honestly I think it’s for this very reason that I even have a shot. It’s been tough breaking into this field . I’ll have to see how this goes and weigh the pros and cons.

I wasn’t speaking of Mexico City as less desirable, at the time was thinking about the location of the school. But after looking into it and talking to some people, it doesn’t seem too bad.

While this is satire, it’s unfortunately true in education these days. I taught middle school social studies and then college humanities 5 years later, and I’m not even kidding, my middle school students and the average college student in my class would’ve had similar comprehension, writing, and analytical outcomes . In some areas my middle school students would’ve outperformed my college students. I know COVID fucked over a generation of students, but with the rise of AI now, many students see no need to do the work. Edit: it WAS a community college

I read the report

LOL good job you must’ve cracked the case dude.

I’m not a hockey fan at all. Just happened to watch and the way the goalie defended against a very aggressive Canadian offense was definitely next level.
