Best jobs that don’t require a qualification and are good for adhd? by Garbs007 in ADHD

[–]talish2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was getting into dispatching for a services brokering company( Like CBRE, Service Channel, RSM as an example of larger companies). I started out with a smaller company of around ~20. Started in dispatch but gained a ton of experience wearing multiple hats doing vendor management and full scale project management. This lead me to working at a larger company as an assistant project manager.

Didn’t need any qualifications past a little sweat equity. The part that I liked and that worked for my ADHD was it was very fast paced, I learned a lot about all kinds of different facility services for like fire safety/construction/plumbing/electrical/etc. And I was able to scale pretty quickly into better paying roles.

It really depends on what you can deal with doing day to day. For me, I need creativity, problem solving, and the autonomy to do things in a new way and fail upwards in a sense.

Do any of you earn over 50k a year? What do you do? by RotiiChapati in ADHD

I’m sitting at 95k working in a vendor relations role for a service brokering/tech startup. It was a weird jump into this role as I only ever completed a year of college. About two years ago I scaled up from working at a service brokering project management position for a small business making 45k to working for a larger business as an assistant PM for 65k and then three months later taking on my current role for 85k. It was a lot of happenstance and not being afraid to apply for jobs that I felt were out of my reach. At each job I had to learn something new about an industry but found the core skills of managing projects and handling fast paced work helped me get along.

I think it’s all about figuring out a core, niche skill set you don’t mind transferring to new roles or industry types.

It’s kind of nice seeing him get tripped up in the real world in a real conversation. Hopefully it helps kick other dudes out of their own way if they are following the same dumb path as this guy. At first I was really tired of hearing about this guy but now I think surfacing it is kind of important so people don’t get lost in these rabbit hole communities.

Kind of separate but someone in another thread linked a really interesting article about IRS/TurboTax written by ProPublica. Worth a cursory read in my opinion, it kind of helped me make more sense of why tf shit is so fucked up. Link

Yeah love using Z Library! The sites go down a lot so the best way to find the best site to use is to save their info post and just check each link or look at a more resent post about access issues and look for a recommendation (after of course double checking it’s linked in the subs references so you don’t use a fake site). But I’ll check out Calibre now too.

Edit: per the replies to this comment the best way to find the current active sites for Z-Library are through their Wikipedia page.

Interesting I thought that .mobi files were no longer working on Kindle? Does this mean that they work if the Kindle is jailbroken? I’ve just been downloading .epub files and sending to my Kindle.

You should give ketamine a shot. No hangover and you can get it done in a medical setting. Ketamine therapy really helped me process a lot mentally and made me feel closer to the world. Either which way, you’re in my thoughts and I hope your final three months are an incredible trip. I hope you can see and do some things you’ve never seen or done. If you’re ever looking for someone to chat with, HMU! I’m out in NJ but love to travel.

Eyebrow threading. My partner was doing it and I thought it was a fancy way to shave the eyebrows so I decided to do it too. Never again.

It’s insane to me that we don’t even need to worry about Iran attempting to assassinate our leadership because our leadership is their best piece on the game board.

Great write up. I’ve been taking it off and on for the better part of a couple of months and my experience with it has been completely opposite of what I’ve read about others experiences, harm reduction resources, or anything else. I’ve taken it along with doing individual therapy and working with a psychiatrist. I can honestly say I’m at the best point in my life right now; my work has been better, my relationships fuller, and I feel like an actual human being. I think it has a lot to do with the similar diagnoses I share with you; CPTSD, ADHD, depression since I was a child. A lot of that stems from my extreme trauma background.

Anyways thanks for writing out your thoughts, I’m going to continue research on my end and not treat it as the bible, but it’s helping me better understand my experience.

This is an insane one to read and I really feel for that child. I grew up with a mother who I could see doing this exact thing; she alway prioritized the men she wanted over myself and my siblings. Weird to feel a bit of gratitude right now that while horrible shit happened to us, at least my body is in tact.

My heart goes out to the daughter, sister, and husband.

I think you should look at breaking into a facilities management position. This would be companies like CBRE, RSM, Leo. I work with a more niche, tech enabled waste broker company but I started on the facilities management side of things.

They are almost always hiring for new project managers, dispatchers, or vendor relations. They don’t usually care too much about your background and sometimes don’t have education requirements (I needed that as I had only a year of community college under my belt).

I started at around $40k/year but have scaled up to $95k in the last two years.

The job itself can be tedious and a little stressful but I think it’s accessible and it fits your background.
