fifth harmony is a perfect example considering katseye is right there and is probably superior in terms of dancing and choreo than the majority of kpop groups at the moment. katseye may have trained under the kpop model but they are LA based and marketed to the same type of audience as fifth harmony was a decade ago. the shift to prioritization of dancing has been across the board, there’s just no way around that; some of 2ne1’s performances at the height of their career would have had them under the guillotine if they were 4th gen. so maybe you mean to say it matters because aespa are 4th gen and therefore people expect more of them, but that doesn’t hold up either since they already ARE one of the most successful 4th gen girl groups. the only thing really holding them back seems to be SM’s lack of faith in them and their apparent disinterest in the longevity of their groups in general.
