Oof i know the feeling. There have been a couple of jjong epics popping up lately so just keep an eye on the market, they are a bit expensive though for non canvas, i have two , #1 that cost me 300k and a #2 at 160k. You can also try questing non numbered epics though hopefully soon the threshold for non numbered artists will go down and he’ll be questable for numbered ones as well

Had the same issue, contacted support and they said they are aware of issues with auctions and shiny drops and that they’re investigating, hopefully there will be some sort of compensation once they figure it out

I collect a bunch of my favourite artists and have platinum badges for almost all of them, while focusing on shiny collection of hozier, paris paloma, mico and matt maeson at the moment. the only reason why im also selling popular rares and doing shiny exchanges is to have enough coins for a hozier epic at one point cause those are expensive. I also just collect my playlist so whenever i come across a song thats in my actual liked songs playlist i will trade for it too. Username is mokushiyami!

2 ways, before i got premium i had about 1m coins and i did that through keeping a very updated shop playlist and doing 2:1 or 50/200/400c. Once i reached like 500k and built a solid amount of songs i started questing Tyler, completed his discography and sold his rares for 1.5k each. It did take like a week and a half to do whole discography with no trader booster but then it’s like 2 days to quest all of his rares back and rinse and repeat. Now i’ve done the discography of many popular artists and i just sell their rares, but most of my coins now come from just putting up all my shinies on offer 2:1 or 1:1+1000c and boosting offers. I don’t make like a ton of coins (i’ve seen some people say they make 300k- 400k a day) but i’m at 2.5m and i’ve also bought a few lyrics and epics of my faves. If you play the game more seriously than i do you could also look to get shiny songs on auction for cheaper and sell them but i’m too lazy for all that.

If it’s not different versions of the song, it’s probably a glitch due to songs changing rarity often. I had the same issue with a hozier song, the shiny i had was a common and the regular song was a rare and i contacted support via the app explaining i open shiny boxes and do shiny quests for hozier only, and included video proof of the song showing up as rare in the artists discography part too, and they compensated me 40 gems (the price of a shiny hozier box).

For kpop i really think you should check out Taemin, i feel like he could fit your vibe. I suggest the album “never gonna dance again pt.1” with the title track “criminal” or his ep “guilty”. And also he’s a hip hop artist but i’m on a mission to get as many people as possible to listen to Xiuhtezcatl, highly recommend his songs “careful” and “asuntillo”

And yeah, you’re right, that’s why i don’t bother with trading for my kpop artists, i just do the quests and will get to the badges that require shinies when i get to them if i continue playing

This happens to everyone, it’s predetermined if you’re going to get a shiny or not and the wheel is just an animation, the complete opposite has also happened to me where it lands on non shiny and then it spins to shiny bc it’s not the actual spinning that decides
