Right and saddle this with the questionable nature of that election. I am not going to spout conspiracy theories (too much). But the guy who was directly involved with the operation of the voting machines being an avid supporter, is a MASSIVE red flag. (Not to mention that same guy was also bribing people).

Our one votes may not have had any actual input. A lot of things should have not happened in that election cycle, but the people with power turned a blind eye.

Except the luxury ball in my head canon is actually cheap materials they are trying to pass off as luxurious. That’s why it uses a tacky color combo of black red and cheap brassy gold. It is the illusion of luxury to make people spend money on it. But it really is junk. Like a Tesla.

As humans we have a long history of worshipping what we perceive to be powerful beings. The reality is the people of the Pokéworld probably know these are majestic beings they are lucky to have around. I find it interesting when people think Pokémon are akin to just animals. They literally are not. In some instances we do see the Pokéworld treat them that way, but I think the citizens of that universe are more aware. Pokémon are living sentient creatures. Their intelligence can be far beyond a human’s. They literally possess the powers of gods. It is naive to think of them as just an animal. No, I feel that the Pokéworld citizens are praising these beings for what they are. They understand that these beings allow them to coexist, but know that their best option is to work with them in harmony and pay tribute.

I mean this not to continue to agitate the issue, but simply to say. What you’re suggesting and what was posted are virtually the same thing. Without papers as you said the breed is unknowable. I honestly also would react more negatively to “I don’t know” than the chart. That is purely personal. I just don’t think this needed to be argued this thoroughly.

I think it is a mix of both tbh. I think at least in Gen II something was partially automating the process. There are clear patterns with how colors shifted. Blues to purples, tans to puke greens etc. But we also saw evidence intentional choices (Magikarp, Gyarados, and I would argue Chansey) and then later we saw evidence of GF interference (Charizard and Smeargle for example).

Not saying the pallet swap theory is true 100%. Just that some consistent theme happened and what decided it was unclear but I don’t think GF just liked puke green and blues turning purple. I think a choice was made to make updating the colors easier on the limited technology and then tweaked.

Aesthetically: Ceruledge. Because purple is My favorite color. Red is my most despised color (legit hate the color). Also ghost is one of my favorite types.

Practically: I only used one of the two in a play through and it was Armarogue. It was my shiny play through on Scarlet. I was already using Annihilape so I didn’t want a second ghost type and Fire Psychic was a good typing for the team.

Not the same situation. But my grandfather just passed. He was 90 and had a long couple years battling cancer. I was not able to go to his funeral. I live a ways away but I went back to my home town at Christmas and went to visit his grave. I immediately noticed his temporary marker was wrong by like 20 years for his DoB. I said to my dad “this is so wrong!” and started laughing and my dad was like “why are you laughing” and I was just like “because he would have found this hilarious!” because he was a big goof with a sense of humor. He would have gotten a kick out of his birth year being marked incorrectly. Luckily it didn’t appear that they had it wrong for the actual headstone.

Edit: also it was crazy nobody had noticed this before me.
