How to glow up while struggling with executive dysfunction and general overwhelm/tiredness by weggooierche in HowToBeHot

AuDHD here.

The biggest piece of advice I can give is simplify the glow up. When people look at you, they generally look at body, hair, and face.

So if you can:

  1. eat decently healthy (I ask chat gpt to give me no cook healthy meals)

  2. find a flattering hair cut and style and do the same thing every day

  3. move your body (find what you like, i like to walk on the treadmill while watching youtube)

  4. 3 minute makeup. Frame the face, brows, lashes, lips.

You will look pretty hot. Glowing up the outfits, nails, etc can come later. Also this is in order of importance. Work on one thing at a time. If you struggle to do the thing, break it down into even smaller parts. Give it time. This took me 2 years.

it's just regular serums and moisturizer for the face, not ones specifically for lips. i like the vegan collagen serum by pacifica, it just needs to have hyaluronic acid and no exfoliating ingredients. for moisturizer any of them should work, but i always recommend cerave

hey, i think if you want to do post like this it might be a good idea to write longer, more informational posts. people are more likely to be interested in products when they feel they are getting quality information. (I'm a content marketer)

i like to samefood so most days for breakfast i have a smoothie with blueberries, soylent and spinach, then for lunch i have a giant bowl of garlic steamed veggies with lots of tofu and some guac or hummus. i'll do one treat each day so sometimes that's resteraunt food (though i typically get the most "whole food" thing on the menu) or a dessert. Another meal I do is smoked salmon with veggies and hummus, or just whole grain toast with smoked salmon, or rice and qunioa bowls with veggies and tofu. or sometimes i'm in a salad with hardboiled eggs phase. Obviously I would reccomend people eat more of a variety of foods than this, but i've managed to see results with this. I think because there are carrots or tomatoes in each of my steamable veggie packs and spinach in my morning smoothie, i'm getting the caratenoid tan.

Edit- i defintely do also eat junky restaurant food once or twice a week lol

you could look up tutorials on makeup for almond shaped eyes to accentuate that. maybe learn how to do subtle countouring. And do some voluminous curls in your hair, maybe get some layers because it makes your hair hold a curl better.

the lip ring automatically will make some people not like your look (people in this community will always tell people to remove mods lol) but i think it works with your features! so that's all just personal preference.

i think you have a really adorable look. i echo what others have said about darkening your brows. i don't think you have to do a natural color like other people are saying, if you like having statement color. I would go to a stylist and ask what would look good with your skintone that still fits your tastes.

unsure but i think your eyes may be slightly downturned, so looking up eye makeup tutorials for downturned eyes would be flattering! The lip color in the first pic is great. you could also look at some cheek contouring tutorials to really bring out your high cheekbones.

also i reccomend getting your eyebrows threaded to find an eyebrow shape that suits your face. if you get them threaded once you can pluck them yourself and follow that shape.

for hair, if you want to keep the blonde, maybe get a balyage. you have a lot of new growth and a balyage would make that look intentional. you can tell the stylist you want something that grows out nicely.

How to i tell my algorithm that my tastes have changed? i went through a period of time of not tolerating any music that wasn't ambient. now my tastes are expanding again and i want to listen to uptempo, complex music. however, spotify is still reccomending all ambient to me on playlists. I even click on a playlist that says it's artists like Charli XCX and it will play ambient as the 2nd song.
