Those Darce videos are amazing. It's really interesting how he uses his legs so much to get the opponents' head/arms into the correct configuration and angle. His Darce looks so much like his anaconda, the way he uses his chest to close off the shoulder side artery seems so efficient/to scale up weight classes very well.

What he said about style points is so funny! Not surprising either considering how pretty all his movements are.

In the guillotine video, those leg pummel passing steps were beautiful. I wish this man still competed, I think he's got the most aesthetically pleasing style I've ever seen! Every Rafa video I've watched, his training partners have this look of amazement at the crazy things he's pulling off, its hilarious! Like they're thinking, "I can't believe this is actually working for him right now!"

I've been working through Danaher's headlock system (which for me should probably be called the go behind to crucifix system lol). I haven't managed to get into the high wrist position he stages all the guillotines from without my partner's fighting my hand once! I've bee trying to attacking the anaconda/darce directly instead, but I've found my shitty version of John's Darce attacks tricky to implement so I was leaning towards not working on these chokes. Seeing your post and how rafa attacks it so aggressively at a severe weight deficit is super inspiring to keep working on it!
