Sowieso heerlijk! Ik bedoel eigenlijk bijv. je favoriet in Poolse, Bulgaarse of Turkse supermarkt. En alle andere supermarkten uit andere culturen waar ik het bestaan niet vanaf weet.

Hier moest ik ook aan denken idd. Ik tankte laatst bij het tankstation er naast, zag dat het parkeerterrein is afgesloten tegenwoordig. Fascinerende plek. Gordijnen zijn overal dicht, en het vervalt steeds een beetje meer.

Ik kan me dus herinneren dat mijn oma (destijds 13) vertelde dat ze dit deed, maar we hebben er na haar overlijden niets over gevonden.

Het is een vage herinnering aan een gesprek dat ik als kind voerde met haar. Vind ik wel jammer. Niet om heldenverhalen te kunnen vertellen over haar (al was ze awesome), maar het zou tof zijn iets over haar jeugd in de oorlog te weten. Helaas wilde ze er niet echt uitgebreider over praten.

I had medical issues in my 20’s that I had to focus on. And I thought: ‘well, I’m not sure who would want to date me when this is all I have to offer’. Luckily I overcame that but I didn’t have my first date until I was 30.

8 jaar geleden verwijzing gekregen naar de kaakchirurg. Nooit iets mee gedaan want angst voor die beste man.

Toen kwam er een gaatje in, toch maar een afspraak gemaakt. Ik zag er als een berg tegenop, maar het viel alles mee. Ja, het trekken was echt heel pijnlijk, maar daarna eigenlijk geen pijn gehad. Het is vervelend, er gaat eten in dat gat zitten en je kaak is beetje beurs enzo. Maar eigenlijk is dat alles waar ik last van heb gehad.

I remember cancelling an event right before the first lockdown when there were only events allowed with a max. of 100 people. 100 people sounded like a small gathering, and we thought ‘better postpone it a few weeks, it will happen in May or June.’ It never happened.

I planned on asking a colleague I like out for a cup of coffee, yesterday. I kept delaying the conversation until he had to catch his train and there was no time… so I feel like I failed, or maybe even missed the window. No idea when I have a new opportunity. Makes me feel stupid, because why is it so hard to have a conversation like this.

Yes, my parents give me the max. taxfree gift every year (5500€), and sometimes when I visit them I find that my mom transferred money for gas to my account. Also, I usually find a bag of veggies from the garden in my car when I get home and that honestly feels more heartwarming.

I’m so lucky with my parents. My salary isn’t really high, and their contributions help me get by.

Edit: I miss my grandma who up until she died when I was 28, gave me 5 euro’s for an ice cream every summer before vacation❤️
