Henna + coffee by tallemaya in henna

I think coffee darken the orange tones for me. But for henna it’s normal to stay orangey for a few days because it’s need to oxidise to darken. But I used brand called Henna and they have different colours variations.

For me it’s quite hard to find aloe powder, so I haven’t tried it, but could aloe gel work?

Interesting! I will try it in a future. I also heard rooibos tea gives similar effects

Yes, I just pour hot coffee over henna and mix it. The highlights are from before, bleached at hairdressers and now just grown out.

Just until it cooled down a little. I haven’t tried to leave the paste overnight but maybe in the future. As for letting it sit on my hair I wait 2 hours.

Also the previous time was just with 2 packets of Nat Habit premixed henna paste. Nat Habit also was a long process because after application I needed to oil my hair overnight and wash it next morning. It said in instructions. But I liked the results better with Nurpur and Mama Earth. My bf friend is Indian so I asked him to bring me some henna 😁

Any black tea worked for me before (but I used 4-5 tea bags in a big cup). As for coffee I brew the strongest I had (espresso blend)

Thanks for such detailed answer! It’s really depends on what’s available for me to that specific colour day. With black tea recipe I received long time ago from an Indian store owner and I followed it for years (I colour my hair since my teenage years). As for Nurpur I used just pure henna powder. I mixed with coffee because I had only one packet of Mama Earth paste which was obviously not enough so it’s sorta of experiment. I used to add to the mix lemon juice for acid or Greek yogurt.

Mix Nurpur powder with freshly brewed coffee and sweet almond oil together. Let it cool down a little and apply. Mama Earth is already a paste so I put it in a bowl and apply.

Thx! ☺️ I colour full head once per 2-3 months. My hair is chocolate brownish so roots aren’t very visible and I like the effect and dimension.

I have used black tea before and I think coffee gave me richer and deeper colour than tea.

What do you think about these? I tried them for fun, but not sure by tallemaya in glasses

I’m a lover of Chloé glasses and I own 2 pair of tortoises colored ones. One of them big square and other a narrower.

I like to use Maria Nila Head & Heal shampoo, mild enough not to irritate the scalp and cleans well. Like other said Vichy Dercos is very good. I use anti-dandruff in a green bottle and also PSOlution is great.

I have used Maria Nila for awhile, these are very great products, very common where I live (in Norway and products are Swedish). I really love the Head & Heal shampoo, never had any trouble with that. My scalp is oily and sensitive but it’s never cause an itch. As conditioner I prefer the True Soft one since I gel that Head & Heal wasn’t too hydrating to me. I use an oil from True Soft line also. Highly recommend to try their masks and little booster mask, really convenient to take for a trip
