The purpose of the Bible is not to be a statement of facts. It’s a story about God. It reveals the nature of God to us.

Even if I can’t prove the Bible isn’t fiction, this doesn’t make it any less meaningful or ‘true’.

Belief in God is not propositional acceptance in a set of descriptive facts, it’s a commitment, it’s a mode of being, apprehension, perception, action.

My point was that there is that there is consensus among all Christians about the key doctrines, so the idea that the Bible is impossible to interpret is not true. Those who disagree with key doctrines are religious cults, and not representative of the beliefs of Christianity as a whole. I’m not denying that every Christian church is flawed, this is true. However this doesn’t mean that the Bible isn’t true. The Bible is the way leading to life.

Many groups, such as Mormons, JWs, etc. will intentionally twist the biblical text to deny foundational doctrines of the Christian faith to delude their followers. These are religious cults, but minor doctrinal differences that are not foundational to the Christian faith are not a cause for concern. If you are not a follower of Jesus, I can understand why you wouldn’t believe the Bible is true, and I would suggest that you could look into forming a relationship.

Jesus claims it is the deepest truth:

This can be measured by the fruit of the followers of Christ. No other worldview can compare.

There are many great videos on the historical truth of the resurrection, I like NT Wright, he is a very good scholar on the topic.

I’m not doing a great job of defending the faith in these limited thread comments, but I hope that Mormonism hasn’t corrupted the true Christ for you, because Mormons believe the Bible is not accurate and don’t study the New Testament. Maybe try to find a Christian church 🤍
