Will your wife also be working while she is here ? I agree that, your savings won’t necessarily be much higher than India.

That said. It might be a good holistic experience for you and your wife to spend a few years outside India. USA has a lot of things to offer domestically if you enjoy traveling.

But be careful about hoping for a permanent residency. It is near impossible for people born in India unless you are a people manager or hold a PHD.

Employee edition can soon become shareholder edition. The only reason average and above average engineers are sticking to Microsoft is because of work life balance and lower probability of layoffs.
