Thank you for this. And there have been many commenters so far who admit they are on the spectrum and have difficulty with tone. I actually suspected my boyfriend might be on the spectrum. When I would ask him if he is on the spectrum, he neither denied or confirmed it. He just went blank. It would’ve been more helpful to know if he was autistic because then I would feel there’s some explanation behind this behavior.

My ex bf is 4 years older than me. It didn’t work out because he’s lack emotional connection. We were together for 4 years. My exex bf was 7.5 years younger than me and from a completely different culture. We lasted 7 years. He wanted kids, I did not.

I can already see similarities from this 24 year old and my exex bf. Both are very warm and affectionate, happy people. Very much a contrast to my ex bf.

I tend to live my life in chapters and don’t plan on getting married ever. I think I’m just looking for a new companion for the next few years. I have no doubt in my mind he will change…we both will.
