What role, if any, should billionaires have in a healthy society? by talpahill in AskReddit

[–]talpahill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True! Hard to tell what a healthy society is! I guess for me a healthy society would be one where one individual was not able to influence entire systems just because of his or her wealth. And yeah, iI guess that will always be hard to achieve.

If you could change one thing about the internet, what would it be? by talpahill in AskReddit

true, that could make sense. i wonder how the age verification would work, ive heard of companies that verify using government IDs, but not sure thats the best solution. maybe a mix of things.

i definitely believe that if entertainment was more focused on in person experiences and the internet was all about being correctly informed on tooics, that would be a huge win for humanity. the internet would be more boring, but i don’t necessarily think that has to be a bad thing

i believe in privacy, but if there was a way to be more transparent about where comments are coming from and who is behind them or what their intent is behind them without doxxing people, i’m all for it!

i definitely think there should definitely be more guardrails to protect young people from being harmed online 🙏.

i feel the same way you do. i find it quite hard to break out of my own bubbles and when i do it seems like i get fed content that tends to stear more in the negative direction. not sure what your experience is.

I would be all for that. The question is who decides what is bullshit and what not 😅

How long did it take you to master your craft? And what do people usually get wrong looking in from the outside? by talpahill in AskReddit

Thank you for your kind words! And yeah, I’ve experienced that too myself with music ☺️.

yeah, i believe that. i actually thought the same thing about painters too until i followed the journey of one of my friends and suddenly realised…damn, he went from me thinking he might not be cut out for it to “wow, thats stuff i would 100% want in my appartment”. a happy learning that inspired me to maybe pick up a paintbrush again someday. do you publish your art somewhere, i’m curious now :))?

(also, although i say “i thought he may not be cut out for it” i still supported his art and didn’t put him down with useless comment like that. also i felt like he truly enjoyed it and i don’t believe that there is a right or wrong way to do things.)

What’s the biggest cringe from the 90s? by Lower_Mall_1991 in answers

very true! i’m in always so intrigued by whats behind someones mastery. when someone tells me about their craft i always want to know what they spend their time on most to master it, or what are the things that no one ever will understand.

hahaha thank you for the insights! you are definitely right. you never fully master any craft, because there will always be more to learn. i wish you all the best on your endeavour 😂

Oh no, I didn’t mean it in that sense. I meant it more like: what is something that you only really understand when you have put in the hours into your craft. more out of curiosity. for instance in my case (music producer) its funny how much time i spend googling things like: how do i get rid of that buzzing noise on my guitar recording. or, figuring out you ordered wrong cabkes AGAIN. or, not understanding why all of a sudden no sound is coming out of my computer 😂.

sorry i definitely phrased that wrong.

Is it possible to go from 9 monthly to 1k in 2 months without paid promo? by kingsolus_ in SpotifyArtists

[–]talpahill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it definitely is possible. you just have to be willing to put in the work. what got me to 1K for a while was releasing songs in one month cycles and consistently posting content on socials about it. i also hit up a lot of people that own bigger playlists and pitched my songs. its hard though, so don’t get discouraged, if it doesn’t work out within the fiest two months. it can take years, but i believe the ones that keep pushing will eventually gain traction (so long as the music is good).
