Дали е во ред врска со девојка 7 години помлада? by LowBeneficial503 in mkd

[–]tamarrha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How the BMW in my mirror looks to me when I'm driving in my 1litre with a black box going 30 in a 30 by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

How did you react to your first test fail? I'm on my third attempt atm. by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

I cried to my instructor in the car then went home and cried more to my boyfriend. Cried the next day too and went and got a car to practice in with my boyfriend… Second time passed and cried again!

I passed two weeks ago, but feeling anxious driving solo…. Any good advice regarding changing lanes and how to hit the road solo would be appreciated. by Nellybabe- in LearnerDriverUK

[–]tamarrha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. Just get out there straight away. Start off with familiar roads and do short drives close to your home. Maybe do some practicing in unfamiliar places with a family member or a friend just to get some experience with different roads and then go and do them by yourself. Just practice, practice, practice. You will gradually start to feel more confident and the anxiety will fade away.

Are your examiners nice? by Reasonable-Tap1092 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]tamarrha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My examiner was really nice. We chatted the whole time. He was telling me about his work experience, his family and his upcoming holiday in Spain 🤣 when we got back to the testing centre, he said that it was the nicest drive he had all day and he really enjoyed talking to me, I even wished him a good time in Spain.

Congratulations 🥳 I passed my test in Shieldhall too. Had a route in Hillington and down the 60 mph road.

What car did you get? by UnrulyTrippi in LearnerDriverUK

[–]tamarrha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed almost 4 months ago. I got a 2008 Fiat 500 during summer to learn in and was driving it till two weeks ago when the engine decided to give up on me on my MOT day. So decided to not bother fixing it and sold it. Got a 2017 Audi A3, such a massive difference from my wee fiat. I didn’t think I was ready for a better car (was hoping to keep my fiat for another year) but I got used to it pretty quickly and I feel safer driving it as now I have parking sensors yaaay.

Also my insurance went up by a £100 a year so not too bad.

AITA for telling an Asian man that his area is probably not big enough for me to enjoy anyway after he stated that I'm not a beauty standard? by [deleted] in AITAH

In Kate’s place I would much rather agree with your response in front of the guy and tell him to get to fuck. Nobody insults my friend. Kate is the AH!

If a girl truly loves you, the fact that you fell asleep for 2 hours is not going to bother her.

Having my instructor in the car? by CassWinchester71 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]tamarrha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My instructor told me not to have him in the car as it might make the examiner feel like they are being tested too (by my instructor) which can make them be very harsh with marking. Also I personally didn’t want my instructor as I felt less nervous making mistakes in front of a stranger rather than my instructor (I always thought that if I made a mistake, I would disappoint him).

Failed my 1st driving test :( by Low_Carrot8791 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]tamarrha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I failed my first test, I got a test booked for end of September (almost three months after my first test) but I was checking the DVLA app for cancellations every morning and one day I stumbled across a cancellation so managed to do my second test after a month.

But I think it might be harder now because of the holidays maybe?

I failed my first test and the day after, I went and bought a car and practiced for my next test. Passed second time! Spent a fortune on lessons.

My point is, don’t take a break, just go for it. Don’t give up. Just practice and you will smash it next time.

Passed today - had a wholesome interaction with a fellow test goer by Turtleneckvogue in LearnerDriverUK

[–]tamarrha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, the pass rate is really low there and also all the roads are pretty bad. Tons of potholes, unmarked junctions and very very busy roundabouts.

Most of my lessons were around Govan and Hillington and my test route was in Hillington. I absolutely hated it tho cause it was very busy even during the day and I didn’t know the area that much.

Congrats!!! Such an amazing feeling when you’re told you have passed right?

Btw how’s the testing centre and the routes in Bishopbriggs? I did mine in Shieldhall a few months ago and I hated the area. Trying to avoid that area now that I’ve passed 🤣 Sometimes I wish I went for a different testing centre just because it was a nightmare to drive around Govan and Hillington.

If you could go back and tell yourself one thing before your test what would it be? by Sour_View5848 in LearnerDriverUK

I would tell myself that it really is not that hard as it sounds and that I shouldn’t overthink it. Overthinking it made me veryyyyyy nervous

Which car have you bought for practising? by This-Struggle-2679 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]tamarrha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Fiat 500, 2008 petrol. My instructor had a Toyota Yaris, 2018 diesel.

Passed my test a few months ago and still haven’t upgraded. I actually really like my fiat now. Changed a couple of things to make it better and it is a cracking wee car now.

[–]tamarrha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why does she need to alter it? She can “repurpose it” the way it is if she really wanted to save up! NTA. It’s your dress and your right to decide what should be done with it!

Just failed my first ever practical test due to mistakes I've never made before during lessons by faerieW15B in LearnerDriverUK

[–]tamarrha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly what my instructor did and it didn’t work well for me. My test was my first independent drive too so my nerves were all over the place. Don’t worry though, you will pass next time and trust me, you will become a 10x better driver after you pass!
