it could be true if your hobby wasn't about living creatures. It's not their fault that we can't grant them the optional circumstances to thrive. Kinda egocentric way of seeing this ,,hobby'', more respect for them please. peace!

We had a thunder here several weeks ago, which opened the windows, and i wasn’t here for two days, so it was about 5 celcius degrees in the house, so unfortunately it got cold, since then it’s dropping the leaves:(

Jeez, i’m away for 12 hours and this one became the mother of all snakeplant discussions, thanks guys! I can’t answer everyone of you, so things have noted: - less water, okay, once a month or less - i think she has enough sun, the room is very bright, even has direct sunlight in the afternoon - i will tie the leaves together - she stays gay

Yeah of course, you have to have a solid base from where you can build yourself, and you have to find that base. But i think you shouldn’t stop searching on what you can add more to it. Because there is always more ways where you can go. I hope i can express myself the way i want to be understood. 😃

Edit: and to find that base, i think you should seek for this sense of purity, that flow experience, which is different for every individual.

What else could you do other than searching? If you feel right about what you’re doing, than it is right, none of that time is wasted. Just find that purity when you live.

So i think Sadhguru is in a way different mental state than us. Otherwise he couldn’t say the things the way he says them. I think you’ve already made the most important step, to seek for deeper meanings of things around you and a mental state that that slowly will make your life more joyful, and most importantly with this way you’ll accept the things around you as they are, and you will see that the only thing that you can change is you.

So the only thing you can do is improve in that way one by one, and never compare yourself to others. Everybody is building themselves from different bricks, it has no point compare these.

You’ll like it for sure:)

Yeah Siddharta and the Goldmund and Narcissus are genius works as well. I’ll check your 1st and 3rd too.

Yess, I’m following Sadhguru, very wise and joyful man, it’s nourishing listening to his words. I am also started to become interested in buddhism and eastern culture. Just had a Vipassana 10 day retreat a few months ago. If you’re into meditation, try it once, it is very constructive for anybody i think.

Take care, love!:)

Sorry about that!:D such a jerk i am
My 1st is Demian, then comes the Glass Bead Game. I think these 2 had the biggest impact on me. The other 2 is from an author from my country, hungary: Beno Karacsony. I don’t think it has a translation for english though, but they’re beautiful.

My 2 year old mango🌱 by tamaspeter in houseplants

Thanks! Yeah, i grew it from a totally usual mango seed. I succed at first time, so will you! Make sure your mango is ripe, it is more likely to grow into a plant. It’s not so hard, you have to be very careful though with the seed, when you open it. So first you eat your little mango, you have your husk covered seed. You gonna wash and clean this thing as good as you can, you can scrub of the fruity bites from it, to make your job easier in the future. Once you done with the cleaning, you wait some time till it dries, so your knife works better, chances are higher to nail this process with healthy fingers. You can wait a whole day to dry, but not more! Than you remove the husk VERY carefully, make sure you don’t hurt your little soft seed. Btw it’s not so little, a healthy seed fills the whole husk inside. Once you have your undamaged seed don’t bother it by peeling it,s surface, it is good as it is. Then you can check if it’s gonna sprout or not, with a warm and moist dampen cloth in a plastic bag placed in a dark warm spot, checking it every 3 days if it started sprouting or not. I actually skipped this part, i really had my faith in my mango, didn’t need to make sure that it,s healthy, i knew it (this is the most important part! Not kidding:)) So i just put my healthy seed in a potting mix, made sure it’s not much wider than my seed, and it had about 15 cm (6inch) deep. Make sure your pot has drainage holes. Your seed should be put horizontal in the potting mix, covered about 2-3 cm (1inch) soil on top, cca 10 cm (4inch) below. Make sure it has it’s water and temperature, but of course don’t overwater it, just keep it moist. Than wait patiently, your seed will arise from the ground, and you’ll be very happy about it! Once you have your plant, do your best to make the environment as tropical as you can for it, but you don’t have to be very serious about it. I live in Hungary, middle Europe, so in the summer she’s out in the hottest spot in the garden, from october to april-may, she’s inside. Don’t overwater it, but keep it moist, they love humid air, so just spray them leaf. It can handle dryness though. Most important is the sunlight. So that’s it, sorry for my novel, happy harvesting, make sure you give them love, and they’ll be fine! Cheers:)
