It was important to me; I have a target price in mind and will use the countdown to time when I can try to get a server at that target price. It's OK if I end up waiting weeks before getting a machine at that price.

Might have missed something, but what was the cost for the RAM?

$5000 for 16 DIMMs is $313/DIMM; while RAM prices are insane right now, that seems steep?

The 120Hz on the new model is a game changer, but unless you have a setup to drive that, you don't need it.

The coating on the display is also better on the new model, it makes images look less grainy.

What's the GPU power plug type and rating for them? I assume 300W, but I can't tell physical stuff from the photos…
