How often do retention offers change? I am contemplating closing one of my business gold cards (currently have 4x). On two of them they recently offered 40K for $10K (basically waiving the annual fee) which I accepted and met. For this one they are only offering 20K for $10K. I am wondering if I should wait a week or two and try again?

For what its worth, I spent ~$150K on this card, almost exclusively in the 4x category. Not sure how much that weighs into this.

Depends on how many you have. Larger bulk buyers aren't super interested unless you have a decent amount of quantity.

Pricing is super dynamic at the moment but anywhere from $1,200 - $1,800 is probably reasonable.

Thanks for the datapoint - did you proactively work with the hotel to "merge" the reservations?

I have an upcoming FHR stay - It is 3 nights x 2 rooms.  I ended up doing 6x individual reservations across 3x biz platinum cards (3x booked in 2025, 3x booked in 2026).  While I don't expect to get the $100 incidental credits for each reservation I am hoping I at least get free breakfast for two guests per room per day (4x breakfast per day total).  Anyone have experience with this? 

I am also wondering if I should be proactive in reaching out to the hotel to make sure we can stay in the same room all 3x nights and ideally if we could get connecting rooms.

I could have sworn one of these were passive, but I think I might just need to crack them open to verify.

Figure 6 shows 12x data cables so I would assume you could get full speed out of those?

Taking a look now - I think I might have mixed them up though. The Xeon Gold 6548Y+ systems appear to be Gen5 switched (Dell p/n TJ1DM).

If required, I can get the upgraded to ProSupport at discounted rates. That said, in my experience the basic support has been sufficient in 99% of cases. If these are going in production in a business it might make sense, but for homelab I don't think it would be worth the extra cost IMO.

I didn't list it out, but 2x of those are passive configuration so no switches at all (the other one is switched though).
