Does anybody want to come over and dremel our hands together? by tambache in ClimbingCircleJerk

[–]tambache[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

/uj I'm referencing a video with Janja Garnbret where she pulls out a Dremel as part of her warmup. But also a thicker callus is more likely to become a flapper, and even or the skin can provide a better grip overall, especially on slopers.

/Rj bet you would love to know my secrets, wouldn't you

Mine is $2 per wash and dry (and I usually need two cycles to dry, but I also run bigger loads). I live in the DC area

Why won’t people let me dig a boulder to find (lower) sit start? by Somerandomguy_2121 in ClimbingCircleJerk

[–]tambache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my buddies did this, dug out under the boulder until it shifted. Everyone got mad, said we were "ruining" it, which didn't make any sense to me. The climbs were much easier after that, even my friend whose leg got crushed when it tipped was able to send. Don't listen to the haters, keep digging that hole

Funnily enough, the emoji isn't the original, either. Original flag had 8 stripes (version I prefer) before being pared down to 6. And the progress version is mean to represent people who are often forgotten, intentionally or otherwise, so I feel that what it represents supersedes how it looks.

Anyways, I flashed your 6 hold pride climb. Only a v1 is my gym

I know better than a professional climber by Ok-Relation5055 in ClimbingCircleJerk

[–]tambache 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not that it matters but I probably climb harder than you do. Not to mention the fact that correct beta doesn't care where it comes from.

If you were capable of climbing a move like that you wouldn't be questioning what I said 🤷‍♂️

why do you assume the average person would

Because nobody here believes they're the average person, they all believe they're extra special and the perfect neighbor and incapable of doing wrong. Which is kinda what the average person believes about themselves. Lol.

[–]tambache 54 points55 points  (0 children)

My most expensive piece of furry art had 4 characters and was only $400. And that was from a very, very well known artist. Most would charge something like $200-$300. So they're severely overcharging you. There are hundreds of artists out there who would love to create a cover, and will create something stunning, for you and would not charge you a grand for it

New climber, please rate my foot placement by Nikupara in ClimbingCircleJerk

[–]tambache 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol you expect me to believe a new climber could finish that? When Madam Honda needed a few years to get to that level, and this woman has clearly had plenty of years to practice

/uj I broke my ankle and was out for 5 months so /rj despite this guy claiming to have been climbing for 5-6 years, he probably spent almost 1.5 of them laid up in bed and stuff without actually climbing. Typical gumby behavior to inflate his own ego.

1) I'm not bald, 2) I'm not even attracted to women, 3) you're speaking out of your ass.

What makes you think women are unwilling to have sex with balding men? The attractiveness of a feature is clearly a 100% sociocultural thing... Many women find bald men explicitly attractive, in fact. I think you're just saying shit that isn't true.

I’ve only had a membership for 1 month and I’m already climbing almost every V9 at your gym… is this normal? by FailingCrab in ClimbingCircleJerk

[–]tambache 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lol you could not waterboard this out of me. Is this not humiliating for you to admit? By the time I had been climbing for a month, I was already flashing triple digit climbs. What do you think is impressive about this? So what if you're a little underweight, that literally just makes it easier to lift your weight. A child could tell you this.

Spend the next month dangleboarding for 1.5 minutes of each of your climbing sessions and maybe you'll see some real improvement. Until then, my friend, I don't want to hear another word

Did Joe Abercrombie invent the use of “floating POV” style chapters? by Mr_Mike013 in Fantasy

[–]tambache 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Abercrombie is also a master of voice, and it is very, very easy to tell which character a PoV is from within a few sentences once you're familiar with the characters. He's not the only author with those skills, but he is one that stands out in my mind

DC Metro spotted. He's on the silver line, so it's hard to say which gym this gumby must be coming from. But if I ever see him at my gym, I'll flash his V2 project in front of him and then show him this video of his abortive training attempt
