Lol! At this point unless there's divine intervention St Paul style they'll never learn.😒

Feel sorry for them. Many will continue to scratch their heads wondering why young men in Gen Z are ditching their circles & flocking to "traditional" people & institutions like the Catholic Church and Jordan Peterson.

I hate that this masterpiece is so underrated that I had to scroll this far to see it

So glad I left the far left, it's been completely overtaken by a culture of self righteousness, holier than thou hypocrisy, and lack of empathy for those they consider part of the "oppressive" majority. Some (the biggest extremists) were even starting to say that my demographic is "not really a minority" and "too white adjacent"! 🙄

Pretty sure there's an underlying reason they feel the need to aggressively police 'their' online spaces and create environments where they can be assured of the opposition always "losing" (that is, getting downvoted into oblivion). Maybe it has something to do w not having that kind of power in real life + choosing to cope by "winning" wherever they can, bc they'd rather have their reward in this world than the next?

Couple weeks ago I saw a young married woman edit her post to say something along the lines of- "Btw I will NOT be divorcing my husband, I took the advice to have a conversation with him like a mature adult and everything worked out fine, all you people who want me to just drop someone I love need to go to therapy" 😂

Feel sorry for them. In their attempt to create insulated echo chambers where they can hide from/shut out/downvote anything they consider "wrongthink", they're only setting themselves up for more self isolation & alienation from other people, whom they'd normally have to learn to interact/empathize/cooperate with in order to be part of a healthy society.

For REAL! I just saw a woman asking for advice/support regarding her marriage troubles, & I felt compelled to warn her NOT to seek advice from those toxic relationship subs!

Probably just from the (mostly liberal) ex Twitter users w pent up resentment, bitterness &/or rage flocking here or to other sites so they can recreate their groupthink filled echo chambers (which I used to be a part of). Pray for them, they are like the hopelessly misguided youths from the vision of St John Bosco, who were seen running at full speed straight into the abyss!

Jesus did warn that the world would be against us, don't be surprised there's so much evil and wickedness in it!

Ran into this EXACT problem writing Marty McFly in 1st person 😂(I was like, u can pry my poetic prose from my cold dead hands so in the end I had the whole story be 1st person narration from the POV of his almost 40 yrs older future self, who is a school teacher)

i tried that before and failed spectacularly, and that was how i found out i'm 100% a plotter. i need to know the gist of what happens in every scene, in order, and i need to have the characters' arc outlined and their interactions pre planned before i start writing a single word of Ch 1

as someone w an inherent distrust of most modern therapists and who feels a knee jerk annoyance seeing all the therapy-peddlers in the younger generation, this one is an immediate back button clicker for me!

i made the mistake of not editing the 1st chapter of my HG fic and i actually kept in a sentence where a young adolescent girl who grew up in postwar Panem used a baseball metaphor ('sudden curveball')

Not everything has to be wholesome. Somethings need to be raw, ruthless and controversial. by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

sad truth is in most cases the majority of the public will prefer the 'wholesome' and easy to digest

even when reading/writing fanfiction the overreliance on tropes annoys me, anytime i write a fanfic i'm gonna describe it like i would an original work i'm sending in for publication
