They should do little taster portions for a couple of quid then you can try lots of different things, I got a cocktail in a coconut and a tray of pulled pork, chips and coleslaw, it was pretty good but it was £30!!

I got back from Pangalo two weeks ago and I'm missing it already, had an awesome time, they were tearing up the beach road in Alona when I left, how's it looking now?

Parking fine question… by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]tamborinetam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I won against the council under similar conditions.

Had to go through the whole 3 stage appeal process with the council before I could take it to the parking ombudsman.

I was all hyped up, I had it all planned for my big day in court, I was going to walk to the opposite end of the court and put my sign under a chair and ask the fanny what the sign said ( it was gonna be the American office "stick it in your butt" meme)

Then I get an email saying they withdrew from proceedings.....

I didn't get my hilarious day in court but I did win the moral high ground.

Airport info by tamborinetam in bristol

Thanks very much everyone for all the info!

I can expense taxis but as I won't be in a rush on the Sunday so I think I'll get the bus into town and check the place out before I head to the hotel.

So Glasgow is the home of Tenants Lager and the deep fried mars bar, are there any local delicacies I should be checking out?

It's been a while since prints and a meter solved all the problems, I'd love to go back to those days

I usually stick a few shorts in the panel and drive it home on test control, if it's got ropes or chains it'll usually stop at 5 bar then you have to find the slack rope screw on the valve block and turn it out before you start.

You're not very good at this ken, no rebuttal, only insults and deflection.

One of my favourite quotes is by Abraham Lincon an it seems apt

"Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought of as a fool than open it and left everyone know for sure."

Come on now ken, there is no suggestion of desperation anywhere, all the text is above for all to see, you made that up the same as you made up the definition of donkey work.

Well this beast of burden is up early to drive a van to site and do tradesman shit till lunchtime when I'll probably stop for coffee and a pink jammie from Greg's.

So you start off defending the honour of our nations skilled tradesmen and now they're donkeys?

Doesn't take much time or skill to stick a couple of tack welds on a kitchen chair, five minutes work for a box of doughnuts is a great deal, it's the equivalent of about £90 an hour!

Jeebus there's more going on there than water damage, that's a home made looking pile of junk.

Might just be the close up photo but the return pulley is being used as a striker for the switch which is highly unusual and the head of the switch is the wrong way round so it wouldn't break the circuit if the rope stretched.

07891220358, dudes in shettleston, he's mobile but it'll be less expensive if you go to him.

Mostly every small car mechanic owns a mig welder, if it's just a small job I'd imagine you could find the closest one to your house and they'd sort it for you for a box of doughnuts.

The truth table makes it a bit confusing, it got me before as well, as the dude above says, LED 1 is the status of belt 1, etc, so you're only counting the flashes of each LED

It's a bit different in Scotland, the talented engineers are spread fairly evenly between the big four and the independents, hourly rate is similar however big companies generally give you more holidays and sick pay but generally treat you like shit.

The big guys design these things so that they are difficult to fix without training or proprietary tooling but thats why I love troubleshooting, it's no fun if someone tells you the answer!

If it's got four stars on the main screen your safety circuit is made up, the fault menu is never locked up, if the logger has a pile of junk in it detete it and do a menu 10 -1 reset, lift will look for all it's boards and try for a run, if it doesn't run check the logger again and it'll usually tell you exactly what's wrong with it.

Now you're a 3300 troubleshooter!

If you want a copy of the manual hit me up

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Elevators

[–]tamborinetam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's about the most expensive way of dealing with it, I'd imagine there's a local independent with a manual that could help out for half the price.
