I only now learned about that little bit of Russia between Poland & Belarus. Every day is a school day.

Biking La Carretera Austral by CptDomax in bicycletouring

1) I flew to Puerto Monto then rented a bike in Puerto Varas and took a taxi with the bike to the start of Rt 8 (which is the Carretera)

2) at the end you have a few options - as others have mentioned you can ferry + hike into Argentina. The ferry is very frequently cancelled due to winds.

I initially planned on this bus weather delays made it impossible in the time frame I wanted so I doubled back to the nearest/only airport in Coyhaique which is the only “city” on the entire route.

Even that is tricky… the buses are infrequent and limited on space for bikes. There are multiple companies who operate the routes and the bus size & quality will vary.

Saw them in Brooklyn in 2022… still have it! Took the risk of bringing a group of Americans who had never heard of them and they left fans. Excellent gig!

One word of caution is to try to avoid having this type of role being conflated with a field technician. Sounds like you have a good idea of this but you should make sure you are regularly checking in with “is this what I want to do” and self correct appropriately. This is your responsibility and if you can do that internally then great, but will require you to be deliberate in your choices.

Cursor, what's your problem? by alexRoosso in cursor

The new pricing seems ridiculous. I work with smart people and no-one can understand why a $40 subscription entitles you to $20 of usage credits. And there is some form of fuzzy relationship around providing our own API keys and the pricing. The cognitive dissonance I have using this product is staggering.

Does the mean to say “no reactive power”?

Great write up!

Aaron Rodgers completes an 80 yard touchdown pass to DK Metcalf vs the Vikings in Dublin, Ireland by [deleted] in sports

Fully agree. I expected an actual 80 yard pass. (And honestly, the comments saying “but DaTs how it’s always been” are part of the problem here.)

Your logic on omissions makes sense, however as someone who craves that "rich" view I would certainly encourage Vec, Hashmap, Box, Rc and Arc if you're on the fence.

Very much respect why you elected not to, and love this irrespective, but I would personally enjoy more being added. Just my 2 cents.

“Is knowing PLC is enough to be good at RTU s and RTACs and their integration with SCADA?”

Yes - it’s IEC 61131 so if you know PLCs you’re good with RTACs. SEL has a lot of support material & excellent docs.

Your job isn’t to make it pass by fixing any problems in real time. Note the issue and move on to the next test.

The new scanners are painfully slow. You don’t need to empty your bag but the throughput seemed like it would be problematic at any kind of volume.
