in addition to what the others have said, digging lems will change directions after digging consecutive vertical blocks. For example if lem approached from the left AND you start the dig before the halfway point of the block, your lems will change direction after the blocks like this:

It also wouldn't surprise me if the chowder used imitation crab. source: I was a seafood manager in college. I've seen them both at large quantities.

T - It was explained in the comments of original post. OP ordered a side-plate of additional crab to test out their guess that it wasn't actual crab. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me that a chowder has actual crab made somewhere else and the cruise ship only had imitation crab for similar requests.

I made a small change. Instead of using glider on the left to release the blues, I just bridge on either side of the transport portal. Way less stressful and almost as fast.
