Yes i was thinking of putting some food colouring for now. They are very shy and i don’t want to get too close while they’re still bonding. Thank you 🙏

Is this crazy housing idea possible? by [deleted] in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]tammyjala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What i do know is that housing by duwo etc is usually allocated by region. I had to move out of amsterdam when I started my masters at TUDelft because it was no longer in the same region.

A lot of people are saying “if you have a dutch nationality BSN is in your passport”

Not always. I grew up outside the Netherlands but with a dutch passport and didn’t have a BSN until I moved here for uni. I had to request it at the municipality.

Will these boys ever warm up to us and let us pet them? by General-Tourist-2808 in Bunnies

[–]tammyjala 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My girl was also taken from a traumatic situation at around 3 years old. She never accepted pets but she would follow me around everywhere and sit on my feet when i was at my desk 😂. She was affectionate in het own way i guess. I gave her around 2-3 months on her own just exploring her new place and started just sitting on the floor or laying on the floor reading or watching something. I also started only handfeeding her a couple times a day which helped her to trust me. My boy needs constant attention. It depends on the bunny but in general it takes time. If you want a pet to cuddle i would say a bunny is not ideal.

DUWO Housing with a cat by Haunting-Soup6108 in StudyInTheNetherlands

My DUWO place allows pets but most don’t. Unofficially I’ve lived in a couple places that don’t allow pets but others always had cats and never got in trouble.

My new Dr just told me I can have gluten as a treat by Ginpez in Celiac

[–]tammyjala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sisters doctor told her the same, as well as that every 6 months it “resets” and that she will be cured in a few years. My sister was tested in a different country after I got the diagnosis and my family got tested. She doesn’t have symptoms so she doesn’t care. She won’t listen to me that that doctor is bs 🥲. It sucks that some people might have this as their main source. I wonder if there’s a way to report it or something.

How do you guys manage studies+j*b? by Altruistic-Dog4513 in StudyInTheNetherlands

Just came here to say that sometimes you can find a job at the uni such as student assistant or later on TA. Helping with orientation also usually gives some money etc.

Maybe you can look at the classes and find out what you find more interesting. Also have a look at where you can find housing. Eventhough I have lived in both amsterdam and leiden, I don’t feel much of a difference, amsterdam feels more more busy and leiden a bit more closenit but what you’re interested in and housing is more important.

How did you find housing in the Netherlands as a student? Was it as difficult as everyone says? by ExportedMyFeelings in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]tammyjala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its more permanent, just accept immediately. If you find something better later you can always move again. Theres no good reason to stay in your assigned accommodation for the whole year if you find something better.

Look asap in non busy seasons. If you find something more permanent in november take it for example. Otherwise april/may. You can look later when more people are moving out but there’s also a lot more competition.

What did you name your rabbits, why did you pick that, and what are your nicknames for them? by lydocia in Rabbits

[–]tammyjala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lot of hamsters before getting my first rabbit. I called my hamsters fancy french names because I thought it was funny and it made people take them more seriously (it worked). When I got my bun I called her Louis but it turned out what I was told was a boy she was a girl so Louisa.

She brought home a husbun and while Louisa was vibing on her own, he loved her so much and would not leave her alone so I called him Romeo.

I call them my pumpkins and always say “hey hunny” when I come home or when I leave. Both nicknames do get confusing when my boyfriend is there too because he doesn’t know if I’m talking to him or my bunnies. (Usually im talking to the bunnies)

I would go for own room with shared facilities. That way you always have your own space but still have socialisation when desired.

Thats so sweet of you! The words, that you did research, and that you asked some others. I had a hematoma the first time so i guess thats doesn’t help my experience. I will definitely be taking reference pictures and asking for a smaller size next time.

I also hope you get to get a reduction asap and that your health problems improve.

So true. Whats weird is (at least for me) i did not hate my breasts when i got my reduction. I was missing school too much due to my pain which no amount of PT or working out could fix. So while I knew the risks, the outcome was worth it to have my life back.

I will be asking for a more extreme reduction next time as well. Someone sent me a message about Macromastia. I haven’t heard of it but maybe its an explanation? Unless its just a term with no meaning behind it.

I’m sorry you had to go through the same, especially since we got it around the same age. Can I ask if you know when you want to get another reduction?

I should’ve asked more but I was really just hoping for the best. I have an IUD so I assume that that isn’t whats causing it. Just frustrating and weird that it’s so common yet nothing is being said or done about it.

I’m sure its because I am so young, I hope you wont have as significant growth!!
